Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Sweet” cards. This theme should be lots of fun this month!
ICE CREAM SWIRL
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The strawberry print in Sunny Days DSP was cut 1-1/2 x 4-3/4, then cut diagonally in half.
- The grid print in Sunny Days DSP was cut 1/2 x 6 (times 3).
- The triangle DSP pieces were added to the top left and bottom right corners of the 3-3/4 x 5 Shaded Spruce cardstock, leaving approx. 1/8″ around the edge.
- The 1/2 x 6 strips of DSP were spaced between the diagonal pieces, allowing a 1/8 gap between them. Once adhered, turn over and trim of the excess.
- Add the Shaded Spruce piece to the front of the base card.
- Stamp the frame from Heartfelt Hexagon with Poppy Parade Ink on Basic White, then the greeting from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Shaded Spruce inside. Punch with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Stamp two strawberries from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then color with Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. Hand-cut and add to the front.
- Add two Rhinestone Jewels to the label.
