Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a printed donut towel!

ICE CREAM SWIRL & THOUGHTUL EXPRESSIONS

I looked and looked for circles that I could use to make some donut shapes. Then I saw the medallion in Thoughtful Expressions and thought it would be PERFECT for donut frosting using the Lighter Than Air Designer Paper!!! What do you think?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Basics Embossing Folder (Online Exclusive) and adhered to the front.
- Two large Stylish Shapes Circles were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock.
- Two sized down Thoughtful Expressions medallions were cut from Lighter Than Air Designer Paper. Both circles/medallions were adhered together, then cut with the next to smallest Stylish Shapes Circle. They were adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping each other.
- The greeting from Ice Cream Swirl was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Thoughtful Expressions label die.
- Some Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the label and background.

Welcome to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge are some ice cream decorations!

ICE CREAM SWIRL

Another inspiration that lends itself to a particular stamp set…although Mary did use a different set than I did! I chose Ice Cream Swirl for my card with some fun background prints!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- Four 1 x 4 Lighter Than Air Designer Paper prints were added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock, leaving one space open, then added to the front.
- The ice cream top was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and also Lemon Lolly Ink on Lemon Lolly cardstock, then cut with the Dies.
- The cone was stamped with Balmy Blue Ink on Balmy Blue cardstock and cut with the Dies. All were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The strawberry from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spurce Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the die and tucked in between the layers of ice cream swirls.
- Thanks from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set was stamped with Flirty Flamingo Ink on the Basic White open space in the background.
- Some yellow Rainbow Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the strawberry and the cone for a little bling.

CS127 – Ice Cream Swirl

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Sweet” cards. This theme should be lots of fun this month!

ICE CREAM SWIRL

This card looks complicated, but it really isn’t! The Sale-A-Bration Sunny Days Designer Paper and the layout does all the work! Isn’t that fun?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The strawberry print in Sunny Days DSP was cut 1-1/2 x 4-3/4, then cut diagonally in half.
The grid print in Sunny Days DSP was cut 1/2 x 6 (times 3).
The triangle DSP pieces were added to the top left and bottom right corners of the 3-3/4 x 5 Shaded Spruce cardstock, leaving approx. 1/8″ around the edge.
The 1/2 x 6 strips of DSP were spaced between the diagonal pieces, allowing a 1/8 gap between them. Once adhered, turn over and trim of the excess.
Add the Shaded Spruce piece to the front of the base card.
Stamp the frame from Heartfelt Hexagon with Poppy Parade Ink on Basic White, then the greeting from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set in Shaded Spruce inside. Punch with the Heartfelt Hexagon Punch and add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp two strawberries from Ice Cream Swirl stamp set with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then color with Poppy Parade, Petal Pink and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. Hand-cut and add to the front.
Add two Rhinestone Jewels to the label.
