Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. This month the theme is “Appreciation”.
TROPICAL LEAF
I’m behind, but finally getting my stamp drawers cleared out of retiring product! While doing so I saw my Tropical Leaf stamp set and punch (online exclusive) and realized I hadn’t used it in a while…so came up with the card for my Creatively Simple appreciation card this week! I did pair it with the new To Market Designer Paper!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Flirty Flamingo cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of To Market DSP was added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White and added to the base card.
- The greeting was stamped above the DSP with Garden Green Ink.
- I did the baby wipe technique using Garden Green and Flirty Flamingo Inks as my ink pad and stamped the leaf three times on Basic White cardstock. I ended up coloring with Dark Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends to fill in a couple spots. They were punched with the Tropical Leaf Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of green Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the background.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the top of the middle leaf.
How easy is that? I think it took me longer to figure out which colors to use than it did to make the card! Check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!
