It’s a new month and for the month of June we are featuring “masks”. There are SO many different ways to mask!
SUNRISE SAILING
Here’s a second type of masking that I called Reverse Masking. Place the mask shape down and then brush the ink around the edges. I also did a third type of masking…torn edge…on this card. It’s similar to my straight edge card from last week but uses a torn edge!
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- I punched a 2″ circle from scrap paper and laid it on top of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Cloud Cover cardstock towards the left side. I used a Blending Brush to add Cloud Cover Ink around the edges…brushing from inside the mask circle to the outside.
- The greeting was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper right corner.
- I tore a piece of copy paper across the top and placed it above the area I wanted to make the waves. I used a Blending Brush to add the Cloud Cover Ink across the bottom, then stamped the long waves image with Cloud Cover Ink over top, tone-on-tone.
- The sailboat was stamped with Misty Moonlight ink on Basic White cardstock and the stripes with Cloud Cover Ink. It was cut with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. The boat hull was colored with Cloud Cover Stampin’ Blends.
- The cloud was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
