Our September Creatively Simple them is “Fall Flora”! Stampin’ Up! has lots of fall theme bundles this year! That makes me happy because I love the colors!
SIMPLY LEAVES
I know I’m dating myself…but do you remember when Stampin’ Up! had More Mustard and Elegant Eggplant in their lineup? One of the first cards I made used those two colors and Old Olive for a sunflower card! I was happy when one of the new In Colors included Golden Glow! Not quite as brown as More Mustard…but pretty close! And combined with Blackberry Bliss…it gives me that same happy feeling!
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Golden Glow cardstock was added on top.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Sunflower Fields DSP was added down the center.
- The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and the greeting stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink towards the bottom. It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The gingham leaf from Simply Leaves was stamped five times with Golden Glow Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added in a circle on the arch using Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two leaves were stamped with Old Olive Ink and hand-cut and tucked under the gingham petals.
- The larger sunflower die from Radiant Sunflowers Dies was cut from Golden Glow cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight and Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the center of the petals flat.
- The center was cut with the Radiant Sunflowers Die from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered.
- A white Shimmering Dots was added to the center of the flower.
I love creating flower petals from leaves…and this gingham leaf is SO fun! Most of these elements were already cut and sitting on my desk from other random projects…I just had to put them together! OK check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!
