It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! We have a fun sketch this week.
THANKS & GIVING
I think this whimsical set, Thanks & Giving, goes so well with the whimsical Painted Patch DSP! It was fun pairing it up with the fun colors, too! The squirrels in our backyard are busy, busy collecting acorns for the winter!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Painted Patch DSP was added on top.
- 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock was cut with a banner on each end and added to the front.
- A 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was added over the Pool Party banner.
- The acorns were stamped twice with Basic Black Ink on each of the Pool Party, Calypso Coral, Golden Glow and Petal Pink cardstocks. One full acorn and the tops from each color were hand-cut (WISH there was a die set for this stamp set!!!) and mixed and adhered together.
- The greeting was stamped on one acorn with Basic Black Ink and then three acorns were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals. (Use the fourth one for the inside.)
- The rest of the greeting was stamped with Basic Black Ink on 3/8 x 2-1/4 strip of Calypso Coral cardstock and end cut at an angle. It was adhered to the bottom acorn.
- Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem of the top acorn.
- A trio of three colors of Painted Patch Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the acorns
