Most of us are back from the Grand Vacation Incentive Trip to Hawaii. You might remember we had a blog hop before we left with the theme of Hawaii. It was so much fun we decided to do another blog hop. This time the theme is Pillow Gifts Inspiration, something we received from Hawaii! You’ve probably just come from Betty Button’s blog…wasn’t her project fun?
One of the things we received were these cute little quilted bags, made by Moana Quilts in Hawaii…the store was right in the Sheraton where we stayed. They specially sewed the Stampin’ Up! rubber stamp on the front and used one of our new in-colors, Mint Macaron.
I used the new set, You’ve Got This, with the new Mint Macaron color and English Garden DSP to make my card.
Here are the details:
- The flower from You’ve Got This was stamped with Black Stazon on Mint Macaron. I watercolored the petals with the AquaPainter and ink from the lid of my White Craft Pad. The petals were watercolored with Mossy Meadow ink and the center with Delightful Dijon ink. Then I cut it out.
- The 4 1/4 x 11 base was folded in half. I added a 3 1/4 x 4 1/4 piece of English Garden DSP to the bottom.
- On the 3 1/4 x 4 1/2 piece of Tip Top Taupe cardstock, I stamped the background with White Craft Ink, then the greeting with Early Espresso Ink. It was layered on a 3 3/8 x 4 5/8 piece of Early Espresso cardstock.
- I popped up the flower on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Really, pretty simple, but I love the whitewashed look on the flower!
Next up on the blog hop is Ann Craig! Enjoy her project!
