It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Beach Party”! It’s already August and my grandkids will be going back to school shortly! Doesn’t seem possible!
RELAXING WATERSIDE
I wanted to do something a little different for my beach card and I remembered this wall hanging that I saw in a shop in Florida! It had seashells and sea glass hanging with twine from a piece of driftwood, and I thought I could recreate it in card form! I looked around my stamps for some seashells and found these dies in Relaxing Waterside that were a perfect size!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 1-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of striped Waterside Retreat DSP was added to the left side.
- Relax from Relaxing Waterside stamp set was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink in the lower right corner.
- A 3-1/4 x 4 piece of woodgrain Waterside Retreat DSP was adhered to a 3-1/2 x 4-1/4 piece of Pool Party cardstock, then added to the front.
- A 1/2 x 4 strip of Pecan Pie cardstock was torn on both sides for the narrow piece of “driftwood”.
- Three 5″ pieces of Linen Thread were wrapped around the “driftwood” and adhered at the top with Mini Glue Dots. The “driftwood” was adhered with more Mini Glue Dots to the woodgrain DSP.
- Three sets of shells were cut with the Relaxing Waterside Dies from Basic White cardstock, then brushed with Lemon Lolly, Petal Pink and Pool Party Inks. They were adhered to the strings of Linen Thread with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals, leaving the ends dangling.
