It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Happy Fall Y’all! That’s a pretty wide-open topic this week!
FALL FOR FUN
I love the scarecrow in this Fall for Fun Bundle, but the other elements are really nice, too! This card is one that I originally was going to do in my August class but used the Radiant Sunflowers Bundle for them instead. So, that means I can share this one with you here!
Stampin’ Details:
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Golden Glow cardstock, scored at 2-1/8 on each end for the gate fold.
- Cut FOUR 1-7/8 x 5-1/4 pieces of Glow of Harvest DSP and adhere to the front panels and inside panels of the base card. (You could use two of two different patterns, if desired.)
- On a 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 piece of Very Vanilla cardstock, stamp the scarecrow with Basic Black Ink in the lower right corner and watercolor with Cloud Cover, Peaceful Pine, Real Red, Crumb Cake, Early Espresso and Golden Glow Ink Pads.
- Stamp the greeting with Misty Moonlight Ink in the upper left corner.
- Adhere the Very Vanilla c/s to a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock and adhere inside the gatefold card.
- Cut 1-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pecan Pie cardstock and score only at 2″. Place around the gatefold base card with scoreline on the left side and fold to the front center. Repeat with the right side creasing where it naturally lands on the front.
- On the 2-1/2 x 2-1/2 Very Vanilla c/s, stamp the bale of straw, flag with greeting, and three flowers with Basic Black Ink. Stamp the leaves with Golden Glow Ink in the upper left corner. Stamp the grass along the bottom with Peaceful Pine Ink. Watercolor with the same colors as above.
- On a 1 x 1 piece of Very Vanilla c/s, stamp the crow with Basic Black Ink and watercolor with Basic Black and Golden Glow Inks. Cut with the Die and add to the bale of straw with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- Adhere the stamped Very Vanilla square to a 2-3/4 x 2-3/4 layer of Misty Moonlight and use Tear & Tape to add to the ends of the Pecan Pie belly band. Make sure the belly band will slide easily over the gatefold base card.
- Add 1 large and 1 small dark blue Dewdrops Embellishments to the front and one small inside next to the scarecrow.
- Tie a bow with Linen Thread and add on the flagpole with a Mini Glue Dot.
