It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Happy Halloween!”
WEB OF FUN POINSETTIA
I had the idea to use black flowers on today’s card for a little something different! It morphed into using the Web of Fun Dies along with the Poinsettia Dies! NO stamping on here…just dies! So…this is my last Halloween card for the year! Happy Halloween!
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was added on top.
- Two 1/2 x 5-1/4 strips of Spooktacular DSP were added to the top and bottom of the Basic Gray layer.
- The Happy, Halloween. leaf cluster and spider were all cut from Silver Foil Paper using the Web of Fun Dies. Happy Halloween was added to the front of the card, flat. The leaf cluster adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The four layers of Pretty Poinsettia petals were cut from Basic Black with the Dies, the petals bent slightly under, and adhered together, then added to the leaf cluster with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The spider was added to the center of the flower with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
- A trio of black Adhesive Backed Bats, Ghosts & Dots were added in the background.
I wish the detail of this card showed up better in the photos! The silver is so shimmery and the detail on the poinsettia is so pretty!
