It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s theme is “Spotlight on Metallics! Let’s pull out some shiny stuff!
PRETTY POINSETTIA
I started with the Neutral Noel DSP because of the metallic gold prints, but then add some silver accents…and even a little copper! Can you spot it?
- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Neutral Noel DSP was added on top.
- The poinsettias were cut from Basic White cardstock and layered together.
- The large branch was cut from Silver Foil and then cut into two pieces.
- Three layers of petals formed the large poinsettia and was adhered to the top left corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the partial leaves underneath.
- Two layers of petals formed the smaller poinsettia and was adhered to the bottom right corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals with the second half of the leaves underneath.
- The greeting was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Beautifully Created label die. It was added to the front between the poinsettias with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The centers were cut with the Die from Gold Foil Paper and adhered together, then added to the center of the poinsettias.
- The copper Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added to the centers and three silver Gems to the background.
