Saturday Blog Hop – Plaid Tidings

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Time is running out quickly to take advantage of the Sale-A-Bration products! This week we are showing off our plaids! Could use inks, designer paper, or create your own plaids! I had these circles left over from another Adorable Owls card that I made using the Picture This Dies, so I thought I’d use them for this plaid challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Calypso Coral is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Pale Papaya cardstock is embossed with the Cane Weave Embossing Folder.
The leftover circles from cutting the Dandy Designs Designer Paper (SAB) with the Picture This Dies were added to the front of the card.
A 3/4 x 3 piece of Calypso Coral cardstock was cut with a flag end, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Adorable Owls was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 1-3/4 Basic White and added to the strip.
The Adorable Owls image was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with the Smoky Slate, Pale Papaya, Pumpkin Pie and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Kids Valentines

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! We have a fun January-April Mini Catalog AND Sale-A-Bration time is still going on! This week we are showing off Kids Valentines! Those are my favorites to send…the grandkids love to get mail!

ADORABLE OWLS

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Dandy Designs green stripe DSP was added to the left side.
A 3 x 5-1/4 strip of Dandy Designs polka dot DSP was added to the right side.
Next a 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Dandy Designs green check was added to hide the seam.
The 1/2 x 4 piece of 2022-24 In Color 6×6 green Glimmer Paper was added across the front.
The Adorable Owl was stamped with Memento Black on Basic White and colored with Crumb Cake, Old Olive and Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was punched with the Decorative Circle Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Adorable Owls greeting was stamped on 1/2 x 3 piece of Old Olive cardstock with Memento Black Ink, the ends were flag cut. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three Loose Daisy Embellishments were added to each end of the greeting.

I love the different patterns on here, but yet they are so cohesive! SO cute for a kid’s valentine! HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYONE!!! It’s time for a new year of our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Aren’t these ceramic owl vases just darling?

ADORABLE OWLS

Of course, what stamp set could I use except the darling new Sale-A-Bration set, Adorable Owls?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- The 3-1/2 x 4-3/4 layer of Basic Gray cardstock was embossed with the new Cane Weave Embossing Folder and added to the front.
- A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the greeting in Memento Black Ink towards the left side and added to the front.
- Three owls were stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Balmy Blue Combo, Smoky Slate Combo, Flirty Flamingo Combo, Light Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Two blue and one pink Solid Faceted Gems were added to the background.
