CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Elegant Edges

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. It’s a new month and we will be doing fun-folds this month! This week’s challenge is Elegant Borders! Use a pretty edge on our cards!

GREETINGS OF THE SEASON

I love the pretty Season of Green & Gold Designer Paper…especially the bells! But I didn’t get the bundle. I figured out that I could use just the DSP with a greeting from Greetings of the Season for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 3 and 7-1/4.
The 3″ side panel was cut with the Around the Bend leaf curve die.
A 3-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Season of Green & Gold 12×12 Designer Paper was added to the far-right side making sure that the print is going the correct direction when it is folded into the center.

A 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the inside Seasons of the Season greeting in Mossy Meadow Ink and adhered inside the center panel.

For the front, a 2″ circle was punched from Soft Sea Foam using the 2″ Circle Punch and stamped with the greeting from Greetings of the Season in Mossy Meadow Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left side only.
Two pine boughs were cut with the Winterly Tree Tops Dies and added to the bottom of the circle.
The bells were hand-cut from the Season of Green & Gold DSP and added over the pine boughs with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background and circle.

This would be a SUPER easy card to make for the holidays! And it’s lots of fun because it has a special fold! IM269 – Around the Bend

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. Not exactly sure what this is supposed to be, but I’m calling it a trivet! It is pretty!

PETAL PARK AND AROUND THE BEND

I combined the Petal Park Stamp Set and Punch with the Around the Bend Dies for this look! I was pretty excited about how it turned out!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Coastal Cabana cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Polished Pink cardstock is embossed with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder.
- The 3 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Around the Bend Die and adhere to the top left of the Polished Pink panel.
- The 2-1/4 x 3 piece of Coastal Cabana cardstock was also cut with the Around the Bend Die and adhered to the bottom right corner.
- The greeting from Charming Sentiments is stamped with Memento Black Ink.
- The trio of flowers from Petal Park stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink outline and Polished Pink inside. It was punched with the Petal Park Punch and added to the front.
- Two leaves from the Around the Bend Dies were cut from Coastal Cabana cardstock and tucked under the flowers.
- Three blue Glossy Dots Assortment were added to the centers of the flowers.

IM266 – Lighting the Way

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. How about a fun decorated lantern for your inspiration this week?

LIGHTING THE WAY

I must admit that I ordered this set JUST for the lantern! Of course, the rest of the images and dies are cute, too…but the lantern just caught my eye first!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mango Melody cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Regency Park DSP is added to the bottom of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gray Granite cardstock.
- Some Black/White Gingham Ribbon is wrapped around and tied in a bow on the front.
- The greeting from Lighting the Way is stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 3-1/2 piece of Basic White and the end cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The lantern was cut with the Lighting the Way Dies.
- Before adhering the lantern, the light was stamped with Melody Mango Ink in the background of the Gray Granite layer.
- The lantern was placed on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The daisy was cut from Mango Melody cardstock, the leaf clusters from Old Olive cardstock, and the center with Basic White cardstock using the Around the Bend Dies. They were added to the top of the lantern with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The two bees were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White, the ends colored with the Mango Melody Marker., and cut with the Lighting the Way Dies. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Iridescent Rhinestones were used for the center of the flower and two in the background.
