Blooming with Kindness

I've had this card for Technostamper's Monday Lunchtime Challenge TSSC266 done since Tuesday, but just getting the opportunity to photograph and upload it here on my blog! I didn't want to miss the deadline! Some weeks, where does the time go?

And here is my card using Stampin' Up!'s Blooming with Kindness and one of the new In Colors…Strawberry Slush! I love it paired with Pink Pirouette!

Here are the details:

The base card is 4 1/4 x 11 Strawberry Slush, folded in half.
I added a layer of 4 x 5 1/4 Whisper White.
I cut a strip of 2 x 4 3/4 Quatrefancy Designer Paper and placed along the left side.
On a piece of 2 1/2 x 3 3/4 Whisper White, I stamped the image by inking up the flower with Pink Pirouette first, then used markers to add Strawberry Slush and Always Artichoke accents. I stamped Thank You in Always Artichoke.
This was layered in 2 3/4 x 4 Always Artichoke cardstock.
I punched a strip of Pink Pirouette cardstock with the Dotted Scallop Ribbon Border Punch and tucked half of it under the left side.
I added a 1/2 x 1 strip of the Quatrefancy DSP in the corner, cut with a flag end, then a large Rhinestone jewel on top!

I love the soft colors on this beautiful flower image!

SUOC57 – Blooming with Kindness again

The challenge over on Stampin' Up! Only Challenges is an "Elegant Autumn" card. When I was thinking "elegant", I thought of flowers…mums…and pulled out my Blooming with Kindness stamp set.

I wanted to use a couple colors of ink on the image to make them natural looking. I chose More Mustard and Cajun Craze…almost the colors of my fall mums out front of the house!

5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Cajun Craze folded in half to make base card.
4 x 5 1/4 checked print from Orchard Harvest DSP.
3 1/2 x 4 piece of Very Vanilla.
I inked up the Blooming with Kindness flower with More Mustard, then used a Sponge Dauber to apply Cajun Craze ink around randomly, then stamped. Repeated two more times.
I added 1/4 x 4" strips of Champagne Glimmer Paper along each side of the Very Vanilla and adhered to the front of the card.
A double bow of Linen Thread tied inside the Bronze Button
3/4 x 3" strip of More Mustard, stamped with Warmest Wishes in the same set, with Cajun Craze ink, cut a flag end.
Add greeting and button to front of card with Mini Glue Dots!

Blooming with Kindness part 3

OK…one more and I"ll put this one away for a little bit! Or, at least not show another one tomorrow! Again, I used up some of the scraps I discarded the other day when I had a sudden loss of creativity!

I must admit that I am liking this Summer Starfruit WAY more than I thought I would! It is almost of neutral of sorts…it goes with a lot of different colors! I experimented with another way to color the flower. This time instead of shading on the rubber, I stamped it in Basic Black, then sponged on Summer Starfruit over the image, and accented it with sponging on Cajun Craze. A totally different look than yesterday's card!

The base of the card is Summer Starfruit and I used the Fancy Fan Folder on Very Vanilla cardstock. I covered up the bottom with a strip of Comfort Cafe Designer Paper and wrapped the Summer Starfruit Ribbon around and adhered to the back. I added the stamped image, layered on Cajun Craze, and popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals on the front. Finally, I added the greeting, stamped in Basic Black, with a Summer Starfruit piece cut into a flag cut on the end. Oh, I added two little pearls in the upper left corner for a little extra bling!

Blooming with Kindness part 2

Remember that I mentioned I was struggling with this set the other day? These were a few pieces that I discarded when using that set! I combined them in a different way…restamped the flower image and cut it with the Scallop Circles #2 die. I like it better!

I took my colors from the Chevron Paper in the Comfort Cafe Designer Paper. The base is Cajun Craze and I layered on Soft Suede that I ran the top 3/4 portion thru the Big Shot with the Fancy Fan Folder. I added a flag cut piece of Comfort Cafe Designer Paper, then used the Scallop Border Punch along the bottom piece of Midnight Muse cardstock and layered it on the front. I cut the Scallop Circle #2 die from Very Vanilla.

I inked up the Blooming with Kindess floral image with Summer Starfruit ink, then used a sponge dauber and Cajun Craze ink to shade the middle and around the edges. I used Soft Suede sponge dauber on the stem. I think it gives the flower a lot of life without coloring it in…kind of a misty smudgy look. Finally, I stamped the Thank You from Blooming with Kindness in Midnight Muse on the side of the flower. The flower behind it really makes the greeting pop out, doesn't it? And I love that the set comes with a lot of different greetings! Hope you like version 2 of my Blooming with Kindness series! lol!

Blooming with Kindness

Well…as easy as my card looks, it certainly didn't come together quickly! I started off in a completely different direction and tore up several layers before I settled on this one. Still not what I wanted, but I needed to get something up here on my blog! And…over an hour on one card is WAY too much for me! lol!

I must be WAY overthinking this stamp set, because I didn't find it easy to use. I tried cutting it out…nope…fall colors…nope. I finally just grabbed a couple of the new In Colors, Raspberry Ripple and Midnight Muse along with Very Vanilla. Then put it together.

The base card is Raspberry Ripple and I used the new Fancy Fan Impressions Folder on the left side of the front. I added the strip of Midnight Muse Chevron pattern from Comfort Cafe Designer Paper for the front. I cut a Midnight Muse layer for the Very Vanilla, then decided to put it at an angle for a little variety. The Very Vanilla is popped up on the front. For a little bling, I used a couple Pearls up in the corner. Simple elegance? I don't know! lol! I hope the rest of my day is more productive than this morning's card because I have a LOT to do working on my Create projects! I finished my Preview Project last night…you'll see it next week. And, I must say it turned out CUTE!!!
