Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Foodie”.

BLUEBERRY BUNCHES

Well, this card turned out a little more involved than I intended because of the hand-cutting!  But it really isn’t too hard, so I’m using it for my Creatively Simple Challenge this week!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Eyelet Embossing Folder.
  • Two sizes of the Spotlight on Nature Dies were cut from Lemon Lolly cardstock and added to the Basic White embossed layer, then the sides trimmed off to fit.
  • The Blueberry Bunches images were stamped with Gray Granite Ink on Basic White cardstock, colored with Balmy Blue Combo and Lemon Lime Twist Combo and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut and added to the circles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Hello There from Blueberry Bunches was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2 Balmy Blue cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front.
  • A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.
  • Some Wink of Stella was added to the blueberries.

Saturday Blog Hop – In The Spotlight

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “In the Spotlight”.  We are showcasing the spotlight technique…highlight one area of a design with the rest of the design neutral!  Should be fun!

BLUEBERRY BUSHEL

I’m happy to see that the Blueberry Bushel stamp set will be on the Online Exclusives List going forward (at least for a while!).  I think it is a cute set and it was easy to do this technique with it!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • Two 3/4 x 6 pieces of Glorious Gingham DSP were added diagonally on the front, then the ends were trimmed off.
  • The Deckled Rectangle Die was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the blueberry branch and greeting in Memento Black Ink.
  • A second image was stamped on scrap Basic White, then cut with the Deckled Circle Die.  It was colored with Balmy Blue Combo, Light Azure Afternoon, Light Blueberry Bushel, Lemon Lime Twist Combo and Light Old Olive Stampin’ Blends, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Four Pack were added to the background.

CS130 – Blueberry Bunches

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  This month the theme is “Sweet” cards.  This theme should be lots of fun this month!

BLUEBERRY BUNCHES

Such a sweet looking blueberry set and I love it combined with the Glorious Gingham print!  And, of course, I’ve used the medallion dies from Thoughtful Expressions.  It is just a staple of mine right now!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blueberry Bushel cardstock, scored at 1-1/2 and 4-1/4 and folded so the shorter flap folds back on itself.  I adhered it to the base.
  • Two 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Glorious Gingham 6×6 Designer Paper were added on front and inside, reversing the patterns.
  • The medallion from Thoughtful Expressions Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Blueberry Bushel Ink.  It was added to the front flap with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The blueberry bunch was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Balmy Blue, Blueberry Bushel, Old Olive and Lemon Lime Twist Stampin’ Blends.  It was hand-cut and added to the medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow around the stem.
  • The three Iridescent Adhesive Backed Disks were added to the medallion and background.
  • Some Wink of Stella was added to the blueberries for a little sparkle!
  • A 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was added to the inside.

Saturday Blog Hop – Sugar is Sweet

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Sugar is Sweet”.  Let’s use some of the “sweet” stamps we have in our lineup on our cards today!  What will our Design Team use?  I decided to use my new Blueberry Bunches stamp set, available in the Jan-Apr Mini Catalog.

Here in Florida, we have a blueberry farm just about 10 miles away that gets a WONDERFUL crop of blueberries that you can pick your own!  A couple years ago, I picked a couple galloons and froze them to use all year long!  They were big, fat and juicy just like these!  SOOOO good in my blueberry cobbler!

BLUEBERRY BUNCHES

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added on top with a coordinating 1 x 3-3/4 Countryside Inn DSP print added to the bottom.
  • The large medallion from Thoughtful Expressions Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock, then stamped with the blueberry cluster image in Memento Black Ink.  It was colored with Boho Blue, Balmy Blue, Old Olive and Soft Sea Foam Stampin’ Blends.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Blueberry Bunches was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Boho Blue cardstock, then cut with the label die in Thoughtful Expressions.  It was run thru again on one end to make it shorter.
  • Some Silver Simply Elegant trim was looped and adhered behind the label, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of 2022-24 In Color Pearls were added to the medallion.
