HAPPY THANKSGIVING to those in the United States! We have a house full here for noon! And it’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. We have a fun color challenge for you to try this week!

ONE OF A KIND

I’ve gone with a simple card today…mostly because I ended up making TWO other cards for this challenge but mistakenly used Lemon Lolly instead of Lemon Lime Twist! Grrr…

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Azure Afternoon cardstock was added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Snowflake Sky Embossing Folder and added to the front.
The One of a Kind snowflakes were cut from Lemon Lime Twist, Gray Granite and Azure Afternoon cardstocks using the die. They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Christmas Labels was stamped with Azure Afternoon Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Christmas Labels Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three clear Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the snowflakes for lots of bling!

IM360 – Round We Go Lollipop

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration are some sugar plum sweets!

ROUND WE GO

I thought the Round We Go die would make a FUN Christmas Lollipop, especially using the red/white stripe design in the Take A Bow Designer Paper! So fun!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Dotted Circles Embossing Folder offset towards the top left corner where I knew the lollipop would be placed.
I cut two of the Round We Go strips and accordion folded both of them, gluing the ends together. Press down in the center to form the circle.
I adhered to the 1-1/2″ Dotted Circle cut with the from Basic White so it had a base to sit on (any size will work) and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The lollipop stick is 1-1/2 x 4 piece of computer paper rolled around a narrow kabob stick tightly, then adhered along the long edge.
The greeting from Christmas Labels was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red cardstock and cut with the Christmas Labels Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The stick was placed thru the cut openings at the top and bottom and then adhered under the lollipop.
A large clear Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishment was added to the center of the lollipop.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Unmasked

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. During the month of September, we are focusing on some techniques! Next up is “unmasked”…using masks from stencils or die cuts on our cards!

WINTERLY TREE TOPS

I decided to use the Winterly Tree Tops Die as my stencil! I placed it on the Basic White cardstock and colored with a Blending Brush and Soft Sea Foam Ink. Then I cut Garden Green cardstock with the same die and layered it so it was slightly off set from the stenciled layer! Gives a cool shadow look! I also used the new Christmas Labels Bundle since the Winterly Tree Tops Bundle doesn’t have a Christmas greeting in it.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded. Set aside.
The Winterly Tree Tops background Die was placed on top of a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock and blended with Soft Sea Foam Ink using a Blending Brush.
Then the Die was used to cut the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock. I trimmed down the Basic White layer to fit behind it and slightly off set to reveal the “white” branches.
The bird from Winterly Tree Tops was stamped with Memento Black Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock and colored with Poppy Parade, Real Red, Smoky Slate, Daffodil Delight, Blueberry Bushel, and Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die ad added to the lower right corner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two pine branches were cut from Basic White cardstock and added under the bird.
The greeting from Christmas Labels was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink on scrap Basic White and cut with the Christmas Labels Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the branch under the bird.
Some blue Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the label and background.

IM240 – Christmas Season

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week is a pretty piece of pottery…not sure if it is a vase or a drinking glass but I love the leaves design.

CHRISTMAS SEASON

I went searching for a stamp set that had leaves similar to the inspiration piece and decided to use Christmas Season for a non-Christmas looking card!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Orchid Oasis cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was stamped with one leaf stem randomly full-strength with Orchid Oasis. The second leaf stem was stamped off randomly with Orchid Oasis Ink for a lighter version.d The berries were stamped with Daffodil Delight Ink randomly in the background to fill in.
- A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of In Color 6×6 DSP was added to a 1-3/4 x 4 piece of Daffodil Delight cardstock and added to the front.
- Some Orchid Oasis 1/8″ Ribbon was tied in a large bow and added towards the left side of the DSP.
- The greeting from Happiness Abounds was stamped with Orchid Oasis Ink on Basic White and cut with the Seasonal Labels Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- Three yellow Glossy Dots were added to the background.
