Saturday Blog Hop – Cards that Move

Happy Saturday! It’s time for another Saturday Blog Hop! Our theme is our “Cards that Move”. Everyone seems to like interactive cards, I know my grandkids do! This week you’ll get some inspiration from our Design Team with cards that move. For my card, I used two sets that will be retiring, Coffee Café and Lemon Zest. There really are nothing like them in the new catalog, so make sure to order them NOW before they are gone!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pineapple Punch cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock was added on top.
A 3-1/2 x 4 panel of Best Route Designer Paper was added to the Whisper White layer, with a 2 x 4 piece of Mango Melody cardstock on the top of it.
A 1/4 x 4 strip of Basic Black cardstock was added on top.
The glass, straw and ice cubes from Coffee Café were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then colored with the Pineapple Punch Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Coffee Cup Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White cardstock, then punched with the Lemon Builder Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two lemon slices were stamped with Pineapple Punch Ink on Whisper White cardstock and punched with a 1-3/4 Circle Punch. One slice was cut in half and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

INSIDE:

The Whisper White panel inside is 5-1/4 x 10. With the 10″ at the top, score at 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8. Fold on the score lines as shown.
Stamp the lemon slice with Pineapple Punch Ink in both corners.
Stamp two lemons with Pineapple Punch Ink on scrap Whisper White cardstock and punch with the Lemon Builder Punch.
Stamp four leaves with Granny Apple Green Ink on Whisper White, punch with the Lemon Builder Punch.
Add the two lemons to the first and third panels with Stampin’ Dimensionals, making sure they fit inside the card.
Stamp the greeting on the second slice already made with Memento Black Ink and add to the center panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Fold carefully to close making sure everything is tucked inside the card.

Coffee Cafe

Here’s another swap card I made (21 of them!) for a New Annual Catalog swap. I love the Coffee Cafe stamp set…just too fun! Love that Designer Paper, too!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 3-1/4 x 5 piece of Whisper White cardstock, the coffee beans were stamped in the upper right and lower left corners a few times. It was placed on the front at a slight angle.
A 2 x 4 piece of Coffee Break Designer Paper was cut with a flag end, then added in the opposite angle to the front on the Whisper White layer.
Linen Thread was wrapped around several times and tied in the back, then the layer added to the front of the card.
The larger cup was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and the greeting with Real Red Ink inside. It was cut out with the Coffee Cups Framelits. The whipped cream was cut with the Framelit from Whisper White and placed behind the top of the cup. Some Clear Wink of Stella was brushed over it. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A straw was cut 1/4 x 2 from Red Glimmer Paper and placed in the cup.

That’s it! Pretty simple for a class M&T, don’t you think?

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Catalog Set

It’s Saturday and time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! Our design team theme is featuring “Favorite New Catalog Set” for their cards this week. I wonder if it will be as difficult for the rest of the Design Team to choose just ONE set! I love a LOT of the new stamp sets in the catalog! But, I narrowed my selection down to Coffee Cafe. Really…it was the first set in the new catalog that I knew I just HAD to have, even though I have every other coffee set that Stampin’ Up! has ever made! lol!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White cardstock is placed on top.
The Coffee Break DSP piece is cut to 1-1/4 x 4 and added across the front.
Three different sized Stitched Shape circles were cut from Old Olive, Pool Party and the coffee bean pattern in Coffee Break DSP, then adhered to the front.
The large Coffee Cup image was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Crumb Cake, then the greeting stamped inside with Early Espresso Ink. It was cut with the Coffee Cups Framelits and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The lid was cut from Whisper White and the stopper heart was cut from Berry Blast cardstock and tucked on the lid. It was added to the top of the coffee cup with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front of the card.
The little hearts were stamped with Berry Blast Ink randomly and a few scattered rhinestones were added for a little sparkle.

CCMC464 Coffee Cafe

It’s Thursday…time for another Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge! It’s the last of our “Case the Catalog” challenges this month! These have been fun…we’ll definitely be doing them again, I’m sure! This time we could pick the layout from ANY of the cards in this selection!

I couldn’t wait to order the Coffee Cafe Bundle in the new Annual Catalog…of course, I’m a BIG Starbucks lover! But, I really LOVE the old-fashioned coffee pots printed in the Designer Paper! I picked the bottom right layout for my 4-1/4 x 4-1/4 square card.

Here are the details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 8-1/2 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On top of the base card, two 1/2 x 4-1/4 strips of the green stripe Coffee Break DSP were added to the back of a 2-3/4 x 4-1/4 piece of the chevron pattern in Coffee Break DSP, then added to the front.
The greeting from Coffee Cafe Stamp Set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White, then punched with the 2″ Circle Punch. It was layered on the Starburst Circle punched from Garden Green cardstock.
Some Linen Thread was doubled up and tied in a bow, then added to the circle with a Mini Glue Dot. The circle was popped on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The green coffee pot and cup were hand-cut from the Coffee Break DSP, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three of the coffee beans were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Whisper White, then hand cut and added to the front.
