Saturday Blog Hop – Miss the Most

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week our theme is “Miss the Most”.  What stamp set/bundle will you miss the most?  It’s Stampin’ Up! annual catalog retirement time and lots of favorites will be going away in another month.

COUNTRY FLOWERS

I LOVE this stamp set…it is one of my go-to sets for sympathy cards because it contains this beautiful greeting in it.  The colors in the Cute As Can Bee Designer Paper inspired my color combination…and I LOVE the medallion shape dies in the Meant to Be Dies and use them with more than the Meant to Bee stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petunia Pop cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of the plaid Cute as Can Die Designer Paper was added across the center.
  • The medallion is cut from Petunia Pop cardstock with the Meant to Bee Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The teapot was stamped with Memento Black Ink and is cut with the Die from the tiny flower print Cute As Can Bee DSP.
  • The stool from Country Flowers stamp set is stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pool Party and colored with Dark Pool Party Blends to give it some dimension.
  • The flowers were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Country Flowers Dies.  They were colored with Pretty in Pink, Petunia Pop, Pool Party and Old Olive Stampin’ Blends.  All pieces were added to the medallion with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Country Flowers greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge.  This month was is our annual “Case the Catalog”!  We use samples from the catalog to inspire the cards we make!  Always fun to see if our design team uses the colors, the layout, the stamp set…or whatever element inspires them.

 

COUNTRY FLOWERS

I again used the layout for my inspiration.  I’ve had a lot of need for sympathy cards lately and this greeting is so pretty in this set!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • a 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) is added on top with a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of coordinating Perennial Lavender DSP added on top.
  • The stool from Country Flowers was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock.  The pail was stamped with Memento Black Ink and the greenery with Pretty Peacock on Basic White cardstock.  They were colored with Lost Lagoon and Fresh Freesia Stampin’ Blends, then cut with the Dies (the pail top was cut off at the second line down) and added to the front  with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Pretty Peacock on Basic White and punched with the Labeled with Love Punch and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of dark Purple Gems were added in the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty teapot set!  My grandmother collected teapots and I was fortunate enough to get a pretty stacking one…very unusual!  It has the teapot, creamer and sugar vessels all stacked on top of each other.

 

COUNTRY FLOWERS

Of course, what else could I use except the pretty teapot in the Country Flowers stamp set!  I think I used it in a little different way, though!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/2 piece of Thoughtful Journey 6×6 DSP was added on top.  (NOTE:  I trimmed off the edge from both sides so that the scene was balanced on the front.)
  • The greeting from Country Flowers was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink in the bottom right corner.
  • The 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Misty Moonlight Ink around the edges, then layered on a 2-3/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Misty Moonlight cardstock at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The teapot and lid were cut from Misty Moonlight cardstock using the Country Flowers Dies, then stamped with the large floral image with Misty Moonlight Ink for a tone-on-tone look.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The flowers were cut from Pumpkin Pie, Basic White and Fresh Freesia cardstock, the leaf cluster from Mossy Meadow cardstock and added to the top of the teapot.
  • Rhinestone jewels were added to the center of the flowers.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied around the handle in a bow.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Paper Perfection 2024

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Paper Perfection 2024”.  Our Design Team will feature their Favorite New Designer Paper from the Annual Catalog this week!

COUNTRY FLOWERS

ANOTHER hard choice this week…why did I pick such hard themes?  I finally narrowed down my choice to Mediterranean Blooms DSP!  And, although I love the oranges and lemon prints…the blue and white tiles really catch my eye, too!  I went with a monochromatic look on today’s card using the blues!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1/4 x 5-1/2 strip of Mediterranean Blooms small grid print was added to the left side.  The larger 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 Mediterranean Blooms DSP was added next to it on the left.  (I really like this mixture of DSP!)
  • The circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pail and Flower Market images from Country Flowers were stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Boho Blue cardstock and cut with the Country Flowers Dies.
  • The flower bunch was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Basic White and colored with Light Balmy Blue, Light Boho Blue and Old Olive Combo Stampin’ Blends.  It was also cut with the Country Flowers Dies.  Both were added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Best Friend Ever was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Boho Blue cardstock hand hand-cut, then added to the left side of the circle.
  • A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a fun sketch this week!

COUNTRY FLOWERS

I love this sweet little teapot in the Country Flowers Bundle…and combined it with the little cups in the Latte Love Dies!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Unbounded Beauty DSP is added to the front.
  • The 2-1/4 x 3-1/4 piece of Summer Splash cardstock was cut into a point at the bottom, then stamped with the leaf cluster randomly with Summer Splash Ink.  It was added to the front.
  • The teapot was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Unbounded Beauty DSP.  It and the lid were cut with the Country Flowers Dies and added to the tag with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two small cups were cut from Petunia Pop cardstock with the Latte Love Dies and tea from Pecan Pie cardstock, then added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals under the teapot.
  • Two greenery bunches were cut with the Country Flower dies from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and tucked under the tag.
  • Three flowers were cut with the dies from Peach Pie cardstock and added to the greenery and the teapot.
  • The greeting from Country Flowers was stamped with Petunia Pop on 1/2 x 3 Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three of the small Summer Splash In Color Shimmer Gems were added to the center of the flowers.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a pile of colorful bedding!

COUNTRY FLOWERS

I used the new Full of Life Designer Paper cut to a point in the center to replicate the layers of bedding in the photo!  I think it worked out pretty well!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Boho Blue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Full of Life 6×6 DSP was marked at 1″ on each end, then cut diagonally to a point at the 3″ mark on the side.  It was added to the base card.
  • The circle was cut with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and popped up on the front.
  • The teapot was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pumpkin Pie and the flowers on Basic White.  They were colored with Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Country Flowers Dies, then added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Boho Blue with Memento Black Ink and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
  • A trio of clear Opal Rounds Assortment were added to the background.
