IM99 – Everything Festive

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week’s inspiration is a wonderful festive wreath!

I love the colors and used them on my card along with the Everything Festive stamp set.

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Coastal Cabana cardstock.
- A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of the Let it Snow DSP striped paper was added down the left side.
- Another 1-1/4 x 4-3/4 piece of Let it Snow DSP with the red snow flurry print was added to the front.
- A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Red Glimmer Paper was added down the left side.
- The Real Red 1/8 Curly Ribbon was tied around the Coastal Cabana and tied in a bow.
- The greeting was inked with Real Red, Bermuda Bay and Coastal Cabana Markers and stamped on Whisper White cardstock, then cut with the Stitched Shape Oval. It was added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of red Toile Tidings Glitter Enamel Dots was added to the front for a little bling.

Pretty simple card, but I love the bright, cheerful colors and think I nailed the wreath inspiration, don’t you? OK…check out what Mary did over on Create with Connie and Mary!

CCMC585 – Everything Festive

HAPPY HALLOWEEN! It’s Beggar’s Night here in town…we won’t get any trick-or-treaters, so will go over to my son’s house to see the kids’ costumes!

Over on Create with Connie and Mary, we have a seasonal appropriate color challenge for you today…definitely Halloween colors…for our Create with Connie and Mary weekly Thursday Challenge! Come play along!

I did an easy fun-fold card using Stampin’ Up!’s Everything Festive greeting stamp set and Monster Bash Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Terracotta Tile cardstock, scored at 2-3/4 and 5-1/2.
On the front panel, a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Monster Bash Designer Paper was added.
The 2-1/4 x 3-1/2 Stitched Rectangle was cut from Whisper White cardstock and stamped with the “No Tricks, Just Treats” greeting in Memento Black Ink. The Treats letters were outline with Pumpkin Pie Dark Stampin’ Blends.
Some Monster Bash Enamel Shapes were added to the spider web and the background.
It was layered on a 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 layer of Basic Black cardstock. It was attached to the front panel on the left side only.
The skeleton frame was hand-cut from the Monster Bash DSP and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Inside the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White was added to the background.
The 2-3/4 x 4 piece of bat Monster Bash DSP was added to the center.
The Skeleton/Pumpkin frame was hand-cut from the DSP and popped up in the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals!

Isn’t that FUN? I love that the frames in the DSP are SO easy to cut out! OK…check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

Control Freaks September 2019

Hi! Welcome to the monthly Tour de Freaks, brought to you by the Control Freak Swappers! The theme this month is Autumn or Halloween! Great! Stampin’ Up! has some EXCELLENT stamping bundles for this theme!

EVERYTHING FESTIVE

Funny how your mind goes in a completely different direction once you have the elements laying out in front of you! This card ended up with a diagonal stripe instead of vertical!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gray Granite cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The bat Monster Bash Designer Paper was cut 4 x 5-1/4 and added to the base.
The 1 x 7 strip of Pumpkin Pie cardstock was laid diagonaly across the front, then trimmed off on each end.
The greeting from Everything Festive was inked with Pumpkin Pie and Basic Black Stampin’ Write Markers, then stamped on Whisper White cardstock. It was cut with the largest Stitched Shape Oval.
The Oval was layered onto the next sized Scalloped Layering Oval cut from Basic Black cardstock. It is added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A small Rhinestone Jewel was colored with the Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends and added to the spider web.
Two Monster Bash Enamel Shapes were added to the Pumpkin Pie strip.

Isn’t that fun how it turned out? Next up is a little sweet treat package!

SPOOKTACULAR BASH

This is a quick and easy treat package that holds a couple chocolate disks!

Stampin’ Details:

The spider web Monster Bash DSP was cut to 4-1/2 x 6,
- With the 4-1/2 on top, score at 3/4 and 3.
- With the 6 on top, score at 2, 2-3/4, 4-3/4 and 5-1/2
- Cut flaps as shown below and adhere on tab and bottom flaps to form the box with fold-over piece on top.

Fill box with candy and close with a Mini Glue Dot.
Wrap 8″ Black Glittered Ribbon around the candy package and tie closed with Night of Navy Baker’s twine, tied in a bow.
Cut the Ornate Frame Die background from Basic Black cardstock.
Stamp the greeting with Memento Black Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, cut with Ornate Frame Die. Layer on top of Basic Black Ornate Frame.
Color two small Rhinestones with Dark Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends, add to each side of the Basic Black Ornate Frame. Add label to package on top of ribbon (so ribbon can easily side of to get inside).
Cut one of the jars from the Monster Bash DSP and add to the front of the box.

I love how these turned out! And they were super simple to make, but would make a great gift for Halloween treats! OK…next up on the Control Freaks Blog Hop is Melissa Stout! I know you’ll enjoy her projects, too!
