It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week we are showing off Fall Trees on our cards! Stampin’ Up! has a lot of nice trees in their lineup! The Delicate Forest Bundle is one that I turn to frequently because it makes such quick cards!

DELICATE FOREST

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was brushed with Pool Party Ink across the top and Crumb Cake Ink along the bottom using a Blending Brush.
The top of the Delicate Forest tree was inked with Pumpkin Pie then the trunks drawn with the Early Espresso Marker on the stamp before stamping on the Basic White. Repeat with the Crushed Curry and Real Red Inks,
A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of Days of Autumn Designer Paper was adhered to the left side.
The rust Natural Tones Linen Thread was wrapped around and tied in a bow on the front.
The greeting was stamped with Crumb Cake Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the label Delicate Forest Die.
A trio of the green, orange, and red Faux Glass Dots were added under the greeting on the label.

IM355 – Delicate Forest

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty fall scene!

DELICATE FOREST

Looking at this photo, I liked how the darker green tones around the edges set off the bright colors of the foreground trees and tried to duplicate that look! Delicate Forest had the greenery arch I needed!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Season of Green & Gold was cut with the Delicate Forest Die.
I pencil marked the open area of the die cut onto the front of the Basic Beige, then stamped my trees. The center one was inked with Crushed Curry and sponged with Pumpkin Pie and Real Red. The right tree was inked with Real Red and sponged with Pumpkin Pie, the left one was inked with Pumpkin Pie and sponged with Real Red. I like the variation of leaf colors! The trunks I colored with an Early Espresso Marker. The die cut was added over the stamped images on the front.
A 1 x 4 piece of Pecan Pie was torn across the top and then stamped with the ground image from Delicate Forest Stamps with Pecan Pie Ink. It was adhered flush with the bottom of the card.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the long label from Delicate Forest Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the trunk of the middle tree with a Mini Glue Dot.

Fall Trees Punch Art

Whew…I finally feel like I'm getting caught up on everything that was put on hold before the wedding and have time to look around at some different challenges to do! This Challenge Sketch PP60 from The Paper Players really caught my eye! It was designed by LeAnne Pugliese. Like LeAnne, I love the rule of three!

So, you can see from my card that I took a little liberty of the sketch and moved my sentiment…it just didn't fit on my card where the sketch placed it. I originally made the Punch Art Fall Trees for my August Punch Class. I switched up the layout of my original class card so that it would fit the Paper Players sketch this week. I've added a sneak peek of one of the new Stampin' Up! Holiday Mini stamp sets, It's A Wrap Holidays! I cut out just the greeting part "Give Thanks" to use on my card.

I started with a base card of Old Olive cardstock. I layered on Bashful Blue and sponged the clouds in the background with Bashful Blue Ink and the edge of a Scallop Circle. Along the bottom, I used Pear Pizzazz Patterns Designer Paper and tore the strip in half to make the ground. The tree trunks were made by using the Large Oval Punch on each side of a strip of Chocolate Chip cardstock. Of course, I used the Doily Triple Layer Punch to make the tops of the trees…in More Mustard, Cajun Craze and Pumpkin Pie. The detailed layer was placed over the solid layer of Old Olive. I used the scraps of the punches for the "leaves" on the ground. In the center of each tree is one of the new Mini Silver Brads. LOVE those tiny things! lol!

The greeting is from Stampin' Up!'s It's A Wrap Holidays as I mentioned and I just cut the Cajun Craze greeting to a 3/4" size and layered on 1" Square of Pumpkin Pie (we have a NEW 1" square punch in the Holiday Mini, too! Woohoo!!!) I added some Espresso Bakers Twine wrapped around the front to "ground" the greeting.

Out of the three cards we made at my August Punch Class, I think this was the favorite! Pretty quick and easy to make, too. Hardest part is finding those little punched "leaves" when they come out of the punch! lol!
