CS68 – Framed & Festive

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Sparkle”.  It’s the PERFECT theme for this month, don’t you think?  We’ll create a simple card every Tuesday in December using that theme!

 

I went looking thru my designer paper and ran across this beautiful plaid Blushing Bride print!  I thought it would be perfect with some white glimmer branches and pinecones!  I also LOVE the Framed & Festive greetings set…make sure you get it before it goes away at the end of the month (or while supplies last!)

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Awash in Beauty Designer Paper was added on top.
  • The White Glimmer Paper was cut with the Christmas Pinecones Die (only a portion used) and added to the front with Tombow Monoadhesive Glue.
  • The greeting from Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped with VersaMark on Basic White cardstock and embossed with Silver Embossing Powder, then punched with the Decorative Circle Punch.  It was added at an angle on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pinecone backgrounds were cut from Crumb Cake cardstock with the Christmas Pinecone Dies and the detail portion with the White Glimmer Paper.  They were added next to the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some silver Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added between the pinecones.
  • A trio of white Seasonal Sequins were added in the background.

CS67 – Leaves of Holly

LEAVES OF HOLLY

I love the simple white holly leaves against the Crumb Cake background…with a splash of colorful red!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was sponged along the edges with Crumb Cake Ink.
  • Noel from Framed & Festive Stamp Set was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink in the lower left corner.
  • Two background holly leaves were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Holly Berry Dies.  Two detail holly leaves were cut from White Glimmer Paper with the Holly Berry Dies and adhered together.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The background berries were cut from Poppy Parade cardstock with the Dies and the detail berries with Red Glimmer Paper.  They were adhered together and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some white Classic Dots were added in the background.

IM254 – Kindnest Gnomes

It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge.  Aren’t these Gnomes SO cute?  I love the neutral colors!

 

KINDEST GNOMES

Here’s the card I made based on the inspiration!

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Smoky Slate cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • The 3-3/4 x 5 Basic White cardstock is rubbed with Smoky Slate Ink using a Blending Brush in the center area.  Some splatter from the Perched in a Tree Stamp Set is stamped off with Smoky Slate Ink.
    • A Wonderful Snowflake is adhered to the background with Mini Glue Dots.
    • The Kindest Gnomes was stamped once with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then the hat portion stamped on a scrap piece of Abigail Rose Designer Paper.  Both were cut with the Gnome Dies.
    • The Gnome outfit was colored with Smoky Slate and Light Basic Black Stampin’ Blends, nose and hands with SU900, beard with Light Smoky Slate accents.
    • Falala from Framed & Festive Stamp Set (only available for a SHORT time) was stamped at the bottom with Memento Black Ink.
    • A trio of Clear Rhinestones Jewels were added to the background.

CS61 – Celebrate Everything

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme…this month it is “Celebrate Holidays”, and we each create a simple card every Tuesday in November using that theme!

CELEBRATE EVERYTHING

Other than the greeting from Framed & Festive, there is NO other stamping on here!  The Celebrate Everything Designer Paper does all the work.  I love this pattern with all the little ornaments!  It is certainly “jolly”!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • Base is 4-1/4 x 11 Polished Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Celebrate Everything ornament pattern was added on front.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4 piece of coordinating Celebrate Everything DSP was added to a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Metallic Silver cardstock, then added across the front.
  • The Framed Florets oval die was cut from Polished Pink and Basic White cardstocks.  The center white oval was stamped with the Framed & Festive greeting in Polished Pink Ink.  (This early release bundle is NOW AVAILABLE to order!)  The outside Polished Pink oval was adhered to the front and the Basic White greeting oval was added inside with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • One of the little ornaments was cut from the DSP and added under the greeting with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Some Simply Elegant Silver Trim was tied in a bow and added to the top of the ornament with a Mini Glue Dot.
