Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is pretty meadow of flowers!

FRAMED VIOLETS

I used mostly the colors of greens and purples from the inspiration photo for today’s card.  I liked that the Framed Violets Dies had these small flowers and leaves!  Then paired it with the Valley in Bloom DSP because it had a pretty field of flowers background!  It’s fun to mix and match the suites of products for an entirely different look!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Valley in Bloom DSP was added on top.
  • Only half the oval from Framed Violets Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and the greeting stamped in Gorgeous Grape Ink.  It as added to the top right corner.
  • Four of the small flowers were cut from Gorgeous Grape and four leaves from Granny Apple Green cardstocks using the Dies.  They were assembled along the bottom of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The white Shimmering Dots were added to the center of the flowers.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the violet cluster.

Our Creatively Simple theme for the month of June is “New In Colors”!  Here’s my last card for the month with this theme!

FRAMED VIOLETS

Another favorite of the new In Colors – Hydrangea Hue!  I wish we had a hydrangea stamp set that we could use with this beautiful color!  But the violet bundle worked out well for today’s card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Hydrangea Hue cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Delicate Dreams DSP was added down the right side.
  • The scallop oval was cut with the die from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and adhered towards the left.
  • The Basic White oval was cut with the die and adhered inside.
  • The violets were stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink and watercolored with Hydrangea Hue and Mossy Meadow Inks.  It was cut with the Die and added to the center of the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting was stamped with Hydrangea Hue ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Three Banner Punch.  It was added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two of the flowers were cut with the die from Hydrangea Hue cardstock and two sizes of leaves from Mossy Meadow cardstock.  They were added next to the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Shimmering Dots were added to the center of the flowers and one in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Birthday Bonanza

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s theme is “Birthday Bonanza!”  It’s MY birthday today, so thought it would be fun to see some virtual birthday cards!

FRAMED VIOLETS

Here’s a new set coming in the July Online Exclusives!  It is SO pretty…I know I’ve mentioned that I have a beautiful violet plant that was my grandmother’s.  She passed away about 20 years ago, so I’m amazed I have kept it alive this long!  It just blooms it’s head off all the time, and it is a lovely purple color!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Gorgeous Grape cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Fresh Freesia cardstock was added on top.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Violet Dreams DSP was added across the front.
  • A 1/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Peaceful Pine cardstock was added towards the bottom of the DSP.
  • The oval from Framed Ovals Die was cut from Gorgeous Grape cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The violet cluster was stamped with Basic Black Hybrid Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Peaceful Pine and Darling Duckling Stampin’ Blends.  It was cut with the die and added to the oval with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added to the background.
