It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  This week is a color challenge!  We hope you play along!

FRIENDLY SEAGULLS

I thought these colors were more masculine, so I used the Timeless Plaid 6×6 Designer Paper to build my card.  And I wanted to use the Friendly Seagulls one more time before Sale-A-Bration is over!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Boho Blue cardstock is embossed with the Soft Waves embossing folder and added to the front.
  • Two 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 squares of Timeless Plaid DSP were added side by side in the center.
  • A 2-1/4 x 2-1/4 square of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the seagull, fries and greeting in Memento Black Ink.  It was colored with Boho Blue, Cajun Craze and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  The ground was blended with Pebbled Path Ink using a Blending Brush.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The I love You More greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Cajun Craze cardstock and adhered to the front.
  • Four Dappled Dots were added to the background.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is print of seagulls!  This painting would go SO well in my Florida house!

FRIENDLY SEAGULLS

Of course, I just HAD to use the new FREE Friendly Seagulls Sale-A-Bration stamp set.  This stamp set is SO fun to work with!  I had a blast designing our upcoming Create with Stamping Friends Collection!  I was happy I also could use it on today’s card…which I love, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was sponged with some clouds in the upper left corner in Pool Party Ink and some birds stamped in Memento Black Ink.
  • A 3-1/4 x 4 piece of Timeless Plaid 6×6 DSP was cut on a diagonal and then added to the bottom of the Basic White.  Then it was added to the front of the base card.
  • Three 1/2 x 2-1/4 Crumb Cake pier posts were brushed with Crumb Cake Ink and embossed with the Birchwood Embossing Folder, then were added at staggering heights and trimmed at the bottom.
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped around two of them and then adhered to the front of the card.
  • The three seagulls were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight, Light Lost Lagoon and Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends, then hand-cut and added to the pier posts with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1/2 x 2 piece of Lost Lagoon cardstock was stamped with the Friendly Seagulls greeting in Memento Black Ink and the end trimmed at an angle.  It was added on the top right side.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite SAB Product

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring our favorite 2025 Sale-A-Bration product!

I have quite a few favorites in the new 2025 SAB Mini Catalog…but I pulled out the Friendly Seagulls stamp set to use!  They are SO fun!  Next week I’ll probably have another favorite!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Soft Waves Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Full of Life Designer Paper was added to the left side.
  • The three different seagulls were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Dark Daffodil Delight and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.  They were hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Friendly Seagulls was partially inked and stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2 piece of Shaded Spruce and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of pink Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background.
