Today on Create with Connie and Mary, we have a Color Challenge! Your challenge is to use Real Red, Pumpkin Pie, and Pacific Point colors in your creation! Yes! Don't they scream WARM weather? I know I'm ready for it to warm up and STAY warm!
So, if these colors look familiar on my card, that is because I did THIS card for the challenge. I was working ahead, then realized that Sale-A-Bration would be over by the time this challenge came around and I had to change up my card! So here is what I'm doing this week instead!
Same paper, sketch and colors, but a different look, huh? This one started with a base of Real Red cardstock that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. I used the Sunny Garden Designer Paper and layered it on Pumpkin Pie. I used the stamp set, Friends 24-7, one I haven't used in a LONG time! I stamped the scroll in Pacific Point on Whisper White and layered it on Pacific Point cardstock. In the center I punched the Small Oval from a different pattern in the Designer Paper, then cut out the 24-7 from Whisper White to layer over top. I wrapped around Pumpkin Pie Taffeta Ribbon around a tied a knot, then added the Here for You greeting from the same stamp set and punched with the 1" Circle and layered it on 1 1/4" Circle of Designer Paper. Finally, I added a couple of the Rhinestone Jewels in the corners!
I thought the comparison was pretty neat to see! Make sure to check out what the rest of the Create with Connie and Mary Challenge Team did this week over on our website!
