CCMC298 Perfect Pennants

It's Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary challenge! We have a wonderful SPRING color combination for you to try. LOVE the colors in this. BUT…I resisted using flowers on my card! lol!

I did try something new with the Fringe Scissors…or at least I hadn't seen it done before! Can you guess how I did the multi-colored fringe along the bottom?

Here are the details:

The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Whisper White, folded to make base card.
I cut a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Daffodil Delight (don't emboss at this point).
Next cut two 1 1/4 x 5 1/4 strips of Tangeine Tango and Gumball Green and used the Fringe Scissors on them part way. I adhered them both together. Then I took and trimmed off two Gumball Green fringes, left two, trimmed two…all the way across so that the Tangerine Tango underneath showed thru. I adhered them to the bottom of the Daffodil Delight.
I cut a 2 x 5 1/4 Watercolor Wonder Designer Paper and covered the top edge of the Fringe.
I embossed the top portion of Daffodil Delight and the DSP with the Perfect Polka Dots folder.
I cut two narrow 1/4 strips of Gumball Green and Tangerine Tango and placed across the DSP seam at the top.
Make a Wish from Perfect Pennants was inked up with Tangerine Tango, Daffodil Delight and Gumball Green Markers and stamped on 2 x 3 1/2 Whisper White. I used the Angled Tag Topper Punch at the bottom.
I tied on some Daffodil Delight Chevron Ribbon thru the tag and adhered to the front with Stampin' Dimensionals.

SUOC93 Fringe Flower Muslin Bag

Woohoo! I had fun with this week's Stampin' Up! Only Challenge...all about boxes and bags and baskets! Those that know me, know that I love 3D items! I've been wanting to use the Muslin Bags that I have…I combined it with a cute Fringe Scissor flower…super easy to make! And, I used some pieces in the Heartfelt Banner Kit…get it with your Sale-a-Bration selection before it is gone!

Most of the pieces for the decoration were in the Heartfelt Banners Kit…the doily, the chevron banner, the Linen Thread and the pom-pom. I did cut the pom-pom in half so it lays flat in the center of the flower! Here are the details:

I used a Vintage Safety Pin to pin the Chevron banner and doily to the front of the muslin bag, right under the drawstring. I tied a bow with the Linen Thread around the safety pin, too.
I cut the flower from Kaleidoscope Designer Paper with the Flower Frame Framelits, then used the Fringe Scissors to cut the petals. I adhered together with Stampin' Dimensionals and placed on the front of the banner.
I added the pom-pom to the center of the flower with Multipurpose Tombow Glue.
I stamped For You from Bitty Banners with Black Stazon on Whisper White and cut out, then added it to the flower with a Stampin' Dimensional.

SUOC92 You’re Lovely

This week on SUO Challenges, we have a color combination of using Pinks and Purples. Can can be either or both combined! I went with the combination of both on my card! I've seen several different versions of these fringe scissor cards online, and I also did a different one for our Club last month! I love how the cardstock looks ruffled. So, here's my pink and purple combination.

Here are some details:

The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White folded in half.
I used Pink Pirouette, Strawberry Slush, Rose Red and Rich Razzleberry for the layers and fringed the bottoms with the Fringe Scissors about 1" from the bottom. They are adhered together and then placed on the front of the base.
I added a piece of the Strawberry Slush Ruffled Ribbon to hide the seam at the top.
I stamped the You're Lovely image from the Sale-A-Bration set in Rich Razzleberry ink, then cut out with the Deco Label Framelit. I also cut a solid Rich Razzleberry one to adhere behind the stamped image. Both are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
I colored the flowers in the image with Pink Pirouette and Pear Pizzazz markers.
Finally, I added two Rose Red Candy Dots above the ribbon on the left side.

SUOC88 Vivid Vases

While at Leadership, this is one of the take home stamp sets we received! I had a chance to watercolor this image during our Make & Takes and grabbed it again to use on my Stampin' Up! Only Challenge this week, Using our New Toys! Can't get much newer than this stamp set for me!

You might spot SEVERAL new things from the Occasions Catalog on here…the Fringe Scissors cut along the side, the Kaleidoscope Designer Paper, the Starburst Framelit, along with Vivid Vases stamp.

Here are the details:

The base card is 4 1/4 x 11 Crushed Curry folded in half.
I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Basic Black and cut down the left side with my Fringe Scissors.
I cut a 1 1/2" x 3 1/2" piece of Kaleidoscope Designer Paper and placed at the bottom of a 3 1/2 x 4 1/4 panel of Whisper White.
I inked up Vivid Vases with Black Stazon and stamped above the bottom DSP, then watercolored with my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write Markers. Make sure to use only a little bit of water. Then I outlined the images with markers after it dried and highlighted the word Wonderful with Crushed Curry Marker.
Before I adhered it, I cut a small Starbrust Framelit from coordinating DSP pattern, then folded it in half over the top right edge of the panel and I added a 1/4" strip of the same DSP across the seam at the bottom.
I tied a bow with White Bakers Twine and used a glue dot to hold it in place.
Finally, I added three Rhinestone Jewels to the vases for some extra bling.
