I’m in love with this color combination right now…green and purple!  I have another card coming up in a few days…and you may remember a couple cards done with Petite Petals I did a few weeks ago HERE and HERE.  I am BEYOND excited to get a new shade of purple coming in the In Colors next month!  Woohoo!

Stampin’ Up!’s Gift of Kindness stamp set hasn’t seen much love in my house, so I pulled it out to use it.  I’m glad it will be in the new catalog, too!  Here are the details:

  1. The base is 5 1/2 x 8 1/2 Wild Wasabi, folded in half.
  2. I added a 4 x 4 1/4 layer of Elegant Eggplant cardstock.
  3. On the 3 3/4 x 4 layer of Whisper White, I embossed with the upcoming Delicate Dots embossing folder.
  4. I rounded the right side corners with the Corner Rounder Punch.
  5. I added pennants of Elegant Eggplant Patterns from the Rich Regals DSP Pack.
  6. I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting with Elegant Eggplant on Whisper White and cut a flag end on it, too.
  7. The flower image was stamped twice, once with Wild Wasabi and once with Elegant Eggplant.  I cut them both out and added the Elegant Eggplant flowers on top of the Wild Wasabi stem.
  8. In the center of the flowers, I added some pretty Pearls.

 

So…do you love it, too?  I haven’t shown a photo of my grandson lately…here’s one with him on his new swing set!  I think that is a smile!  lol!

Even though we are gearing up for the FALL COLLECTION 2013 of Create with Connie and Mary, we took a little break and put in a pastel color challenge…kind of the last before our fall blitz starts!  lol!  I love the soft colors and quickly made up this card using Stampin' Up!'s Gifts of Kindness stamp set.  This set is especially nice because of all the greetings and verses in it!

 

 

So here is my card…flowers, of course!

 

 

And the directions:

  1. The 4 1/4 x 11 Blushing Bride cardstock is folded in half to make the base card.
  2. A 4 x 5 1/4 panel of Whisper White was cut and 1 1/2 x 4 piece of Smoky Slate Designer Paper Stack was adhered to the bottom. 
  3. I used Blushing Bride Chevron Ribbon across the DSP and adhered to the back.
  4. Above it, I stamped the Gifts of Kindness flower image in Pistachio Pudding.  I stamped the flowers again with Blushing Bride on scrap Whisper White, cut them out and adhered on top of the stems with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  5. In the center of the flowers, I added various sized Pearls.
  6. I stamped the Happy Birthday greeting in Smoky Slate on Whisper White, then punched with the Large Oval Punch and layered it on the Scallop Oval Punch of Pistachio Pudding.

So soft and delicate, don't you think?  I really like how this turned out…but you MUST go check out the other ideas over on Create with Connie and Mary.  Such fun ones from our Challenge Team!  Then grab your stamps and play along!
