Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is celebrating St. Patrick’s Day!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Hearts are kind of my standby solution for shamrocks and four-leaf clover when Stampin’ Up! doesn’t have a current stamp that I have.  Hearts of Elegance had several different options to use so I went with the stamped leaf heart.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Full of Life Designer Paper was added on top using primarily the green and gold colors in the prints.
  • A 1-1/4 x 4 strip of Garden Green cardstock was placed across the bottom portion.
  • The Everyday Arch was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Throughout the Year sentiment in Garden Green Ink and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three of the leaf hearts were inked with Lemon Lime Twist and brushed with Garden Green Ink using a Blending Brush to give a two-tone look and stamped on Basic White cardstock.  They were cut with the Hearts of Elegance Dies and added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A stem was hand-cut from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added to the arch.
  • A trio of green Transparent Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the center of the hearts.
  • Some Gold Textured Thread was tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is some heart nail art!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

I get my nails done all the time, but I’ve never had artwork done on them, too!  So fun!  I decided to hand make my background using the difference colors of hearts I see on her nails!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Highland Heather cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was randomly stamped over the background with the Hearts of Elegance heart in Highland Heather Ink, Melon Mambo Ink, Summer Sky Ink, Pumpkin Pie Ink, and Azure Afternoon Ink.
  • I used 1/4 x 5-1/4 strips of the same colors of cardstock and added them across the center.
  • Be Mine was stamped with Highland Heather Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the larger Hearts of Elegance Die.  It was added to the center with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The smaller stitched heart was cut from Highland Heather cardstock and added next to the larger heart with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the center hearts for a little bling!

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a fun bowl of sewn fabric hearts!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

I really like the hand-made look of these sewn hearts!  Some designer paper and ruffing up the edges of my cardstock achieved a similar look!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Toadstool Gardens 6×6 Designer Paper was added to the front.
  • Two hearts were cut from Marbled Elegance 12×12 DSP using the medium Hearts of Elegance Die.
  • Two hearts were cut from Basic Beige cardstock using the medium Hearts of Elegance Die.  They were stamped with the Hearts of Elegance greetings in Poppy Parade Ink.
  • Each of the edges were roughed up by using my fingernail.
  • The top two hearts were adhered to the front and the bottom two hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two small hearts were cut with the Classic Weddings Die from Basic Beige cardstock and adhered to the striped hearts.
  • A trio of Antique Pearls were added in the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Best Sweetheart

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring our Best Sweetheart Valentine card…one for a special person!

CLASSIC WEDDINGS

I was definitely thinking of my husband when making this card…he is a car fanatic!!!  Well, maybe not a pink color so much, but I love it.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Marbled Elegance DSP (Online Exclusive) was added to the front.
  • Another 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of speckled Marbled Elegance DSP was added towards the bottom.
  • The car from Classic Weddings was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and the solid image with Melon Mambo Ink.  The wheels with Memento Black Ink and the window with Pool Party Ink.  It was cut with the car outline die.
  • The window grid, taillights, trunk handle, and bumper were cut with the ties from Smoky Slate cardstock.  They were adhered to the car.  The car was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The banner was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Classic Weddings Die and stamped with the Hearts of Elegance greeting in Memento Black Ink.  It was added to the trunk with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The heart trio was stamped with Bubble Bath Ink and cut with the Classic Weddings Die, then added to the banner and one to the background.
  • Some Heart Sequins were added to the background.

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Hearts.  It’s our last one using this theme…come back and check out our new theme next week!

HEART SHAPED

I’m combining Heart Shaped Bundle with Hearts of Elegance Dies for an easy Valentine!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was water colored with Melon Mambo Ink using a Water Painter in the upper left corner.
  • The medium heart (that fits the wreath heart) was cut with the Hearts of Elegance Die from Marbled Elegance Designer Paper.  It was added over the water-colored scribbles with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The wreath heart from Heart Shaped (SAB) was cut from Melon Mambo cardstock and adhered to the other heart.
  • The greeting from Heart Shaped was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/8 x 3 strip of Bubble Bath cardstock and cut apart, then added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Heart Sequins were added next to the greeting.

This month our Creatively Simple challenge theme is Hearts

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Here’s another quick and easy Hearts of Elegance card!  Hard to tell in the photo, but the large heart die has three rows of stitching along the edge!  Fancy!  I liked it cut out of the DSP, too!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the So Swirly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The large, stitched heart die is cut from the Marbled Elegance Designer Paper.
  • Some Gold Twisted Thread is wrapped around the heart (helps to secure it in the back before you tie it) and then a bow tied in the upper right corner.  A Mini Glue Dot keeps it secure on the front.  The heart is then added to the front at an angle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Hearts of Elegance Be Mine greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Melon Mambo and cut with the smaller heart die.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Heart Sequins were added to the heart and the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring Hearts and More Hearts!  Several options of stamp sets to use for this theme!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

I decided to use Hearts of Elegance Bundle again but went with a different color scheme than regular reds and pinks!  Pool Party worked great!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pool Party cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Hearts of Elegance greeting in Memento Black Ink towards the bottom and was added on top of the base card.
  • A 1/2 x 5-1/4 strip of Floral & Gingham Vellum was added to the left side.
  • The larger stitched heart and small stitched heart were cut from Pool Party cardstock using the Hearts of Elegance Dies.
  • The small outline heart was used to cut the Pool Party Gingham Vellum.
  • The cardstock hearts were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals and the Vellum heart directly adhered.
  • A trio of Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added to the background.
  • Some Lost Lagoon Soft Cording was tied in a bow and added to the gingham heart.

It’s another Tuesday and time for our Creatively Simple challenges …this month’s theme is Hearts!

HEARTS OF ELEGANCE

Here’s a quick and easy Valentine’s Day card for you using the Hearts of Elegance Online Exclusive!  Just a couple runs thru the Cut & Emboss Machine, a few embellishments and DSP and you are done!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Marbled Elegance Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White.
  • The Hearts of Elegance greeting was stamped with Poppy Parade Ink in the upper left corner.  The Basic White layer was added to the front of the base card.
  • The stitched Hearts of Elegance heart was cut from Gold Metallic Paper and Poppy Parade cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Gold Textured Thread was tied in a bow and added to the Poppy Parade Heart.
  • A trio of Heart Sequins were added to the background.
