It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a fun sketch challenge.

HEY CHUCK

My goal this week has been to use up some of the partly finished projects on my desk. This rooster from Hey Chuck was all colored and ready to use! Perfect for this sketch!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Sweet Sorbet cardstock was embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder.
A 1 x 5-1/4 strip of Zoo Crew Designer Paper was added down the left side.
The 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was brushed with Pool Party Ink using the Blender Brush and Pool Party Ink in the center. It was layered on a 2-1/2 x 3 piece of Basic Black cardstock, then adhered to the front.
The rooster and fence from Hey Chuck were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and colored with SU900, Copper Clay, Sweet Sorbet, Wild Wheat, and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Hey Chuck dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Rise and Shine from Hey Chuck stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2 Basic White and the ends cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The sun was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Hey Chuck dies and adhered behind the greeting.
Two black Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. I think this is a rooster print? It certainly is funny with those googly eyes!

HEY CHUCK

Of course…what stamp set did I HAVE to use? Hey Chuck, of course! I love those rooster critters!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 piece of Shaded Spruce cardstock was embossed with the Basics 3D Embossing Folder and added at an angle.
- A 1 x 4-1/4 strip of Glorious Gingham pecan check DSP was added across the front.
- The 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Tranquil Tide cardstock was cut with the Deckle Die. The top portion was sponged with White Craft Ink to create clouds.
- A 1-1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was cut with the bottom of the Deckle Die and then top torn across. It is sponged with Pecan Pie Ink and added to the bottom of the Tranquil Tide piece. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The rooster and cake from Hey Chuck stamp set were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with Shaded Spruce Combo, Light Blueberry Bushel, Poppy Parade Combo, Daffodil Delight Combo Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Hey Chuck Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The fence was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Pecan Pie and Crumb Cake Combo Stampin’ Blends. It was cut with the Die and added to the front.
- The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut apart, then placed on the front.
- A trio of Adhesive Backed Tinsel Four Pack Dots were added to the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Great Outdoors

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is “The Great Outdoors”. We can use any stamps EXCEPT flowers to represent outside! I’m not sure what I was thinking when I come up with this theme, but I do like how my card turned out using Hey Chuck AGAIN!

HEY CHUCK

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was sponged around the top edges with Lost Lagoon Ink, then added to the front.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Glorious Gingham DSP was torn across the top and added to the bottom for the “grass”.
The sun was cut with the Hey Chuck Die using Crushed Curry cardstock and added above the grass.
The fence and rooster were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Pecan Pie, Wild Wheat, Real Red, Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Hey Chuck Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The weathervane was cut from Early Espresso cardstock and adhered above the fence.
The Hey Chuck greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Basic White and added to the top.
Oh no! My Rustic Metallic Dot fell off the top of the weathervane! Well, it did add a little bling! lol!

I’m using the oh so cute stamp set, Hey Chuck again on today’s card! I can’t get enough! This one is for my skateboarding grandson, Carter!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist is embossed with the Metal Plate Embossing Folder and added on front.
A 2-1/2 x 5 piece of Bright & Beautiful DSP is added to the left side.
Two 1/2 x 3-1/2 strips of Bright & Beautiful DSP are added across the top.
The 2 x 3 piece of Basic White cardstock was stamped with the Hey Chuck greeting across the top with Wild Wheat Ink.
The rooster and skateboard were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Lemon Lime Twist, Wild Wheat, Daffodil Delight, Real Red and Azure Afternoon Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Hey Chuck Dies and added to the Basic White with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of blue In Color Dots were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Welcome! We will design our cards using this theme of NEW Annual Catalog products!

HEY CHUCK

This set is the latest of three different chicken sets that Stampin’ Up! has made…this one is the cutest in my opinion! I didn’t purchase the last two, but this one hopped into my order!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
A 2 x 5-1/4 strip of Earthen Elegance DSP was added towards the right side.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of Copper Clay cardstock was added across the front towards the bottom and stamped with the Hey Chuck greeting in Memento Black Ink.
The sun was cut from Daffodil Delight cardstock with the Hey Chuck Dies and added to the front.
The chicken was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Copper Clay, Pecan Pie, Daffodil Delight, SU1000 and Calypso Coral Stampin Blends. It was cut with the Hey Chuck Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Sparkle Gems were added to the sun and greeting strip.
