CS95 – Irresistible Blooms

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is New Colors!  We will design our cards using any of the new colors introduced in the Annual Catalog!

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I tried a new color combination for me…the new In Color Boho Blue and Soft Sea Foam!  I was surprised at how well they went together!  I already had these yellow flowers stamped and cut out, so they were perfect to use with that color combination!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Soft Sea Foam cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded to form the base card.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Boho Blue cardstock was embossed with the Countryside Blossoms Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 1 x 4 piece of Countryside Inn Designer Paper was added across the front.
  • Two Irresistible Blooms flowers were stamped with Crushed Curry Ink on Basic White cardstock, then colored with Lemon Lolly and Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.  The leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Soft Sea Foam cardstock.  All were cut with the Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Hello was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/4 Soft Sea Foam cardstock and cut with a flag end.  It was added tucked under the flower with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of white Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added to the background.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  Such a soft color combination to inspire you this week!

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I really liked using the Gray Granite Ink for the outline of the flowers.  Since the outline is a bolder width, the lighter color softened it a bit!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pale Papaya cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • Gray Granite cardstock was cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies, then adhered across a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White cardstock.  It was adhered with Monoadhesive Glue to the front towards the bottom.
  • The greeting was stamped with Soft Succulent Ink on the front.
  • The large and small flowers were stamped with Gray Granite Ink and the leaves with Soft Succulent Ink on scrap Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies.
  • The flowers were colored with Pale Papaya Combo and leaves with Soft Succulent Combo Blends.  They were added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of In Color Opal Rounds (three medium, three small) were added to each of the centers of the flowers for a little sparkle!

Achievers Blog Hop – March 2023

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve last year’s Incentive Trip on a Norway Cruise that we will be taking this upcoming May!  I’m joining the top 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have earned this reward.  Our blog hop theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I’m excited that every few months, Stampin’ Up! will release some Online Exclusives!  The Irresistible Blooms Bundle is one of those exclusives!  They will not be in any of the catalogs, but make sure to check them out online.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
  • From the Flowers & More Designer Paper, two polka dot prints were cut 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 and two flower prints were cut 1-1/2 x 3-1/4.  They were added towards the right side of the Basic White cardstock layer.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of Polished Pink cardstock was layered across the front.
  • The smaller flower from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink, then watercolored with Polished Pink Ink using a Water Painter.  The two leaves cluster was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink and watercolored with Shaded Spruce Ink using a Water Painter.  They were cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Hello from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink and hand-cut around the letters.  It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The In Color Opal Rounds were added to the center of the flower and along one side for a little bling.

This is a new suite of Hello, Irresistible products that will be available for customers to purchase online on March 1st!  Demos were able to preorder and I couldn’t wait to play with it!

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Soft Succulent cardstock, scored 4-1/4 and folded.
  • A 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Hello, Irresistible Designer Paper was added across the center.
  • The 3-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock was cut with the circle swirl Irresistible Blooms Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The large and small flowers were stamped with Mango Melody Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with the Light Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends.
  • The leaves were stamped with Soft Succulent Ink and colored with the Light Soft Succulent Stampin’ Blends.
  • All were cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies and added to the bottom of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1/4 x 3-1/4 strip of Daffodil Delight was added off-center.
  • Thank you from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand-cut around the words.  It was added to the Daffodil strip with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Three Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls were added to the center of the flowers and next to the greeting.
