Achievers Blog Hop – March 2023

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve last year’s Incentive Trip on a Norway Cruise that we will be taking this upcoming May!  I’m joining the top 1% of Stampin’ Up! demonstrators who have earned this reward.  Our blog hop theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

IRRESISTIBLE BLOOMS

I’m excited that every few months, Stampin’ Up! will release some Online Exclusives!  The Irresistible Blooms Bundle is one of those exclusives!  They will not be in any of the catalogs, but make sure to check them out online.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock.
  • From the Flowers & More Designer Paper, two polka dot prints were cut 1-1/2 x 1-1/2 and two flower prints were cut 1-1/2 x 3-1/4.  They were added towards the right side of the Basic White cardstock layer.
  • A 1 x 4 strip of Polished Pink cardstock was layered across the front.
  • The smaller flower from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Polished Pink Ink, then watercolored with Polished Pink Ink using a Water Painter.  The two leaves cluster was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink and watercolored with Shaded Spruce Ink using a Water Painter.  They were cut with the Irresistible Blooms Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Hello from Irresistible Blooms stamp set was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink and hand-cut around the letters.  It was added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The In Color Opal Rounds were added to the center of the flower and along one side for a little bling.

BEST BUTTERFLIES

I wanted to use the butterfly wings a little different way, so I created a flower out of them!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Fresh Freesia cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 4 piece of Butterfly Kisses Designer Paper was torn across diagonally.
  • The DSP was adhered to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock and added to the front of the base card.
  • The greeting from Best Butterflies stamp set was stamped with Starry Sky Ink.
  • The chevron butterfly wings were cut three times from Fresh Freesia cardstock.  The outlines of the wings were cut three times from Daffodil Delight cardstock.  They were adhered together, then each “wing” was cut apart for the petals.
  • The smallest Stylish Shapes circle was cut TWICE from Daffodil Delight cardstsock.  On one, the petals were individually adhered to support them.  The other covered the front of the petals for the center of the flower.
  • The diamond wings were stamped with Parakeet Party Ink on Parakeet Party cardstock, then cut with the wing outline, to make the leaves.
  • The flower and leaves were added to the front of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • An orange Fun Flower was added to the center of the flower.

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Incentive Trip Reward.  I’m still working hard to earn the next Baltic Cruise one!  Our theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

WAVES OF INSPIRATION

I was going for a nautical flag look to my background DSP piece.  Not sure if it really worked, but I still liked how it turned out.

 

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was stamped with the wave image from Waves of Inspiration in the top left and bottom right corners for a textural look.
  • I cut five 1/2 x 2-3/4 strips of the dark blue Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper.  (Did you know that the Stampin’ Up! artist created this DSP by photographing actual poured paint samples?  How cool!) and added them to a 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock.
  • The happy birthday greeting from Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink in one of the open Basic White stripes.
  • A 3/4 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake was added across the front.
  • The pelican/post was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Crumb Cake, Light So Saffron and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends.  The bottom was cut at a flag end.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Two birds were cut with the Waves Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Two Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels were added to the Crumb Cake strip.

SNOWBODY BETTER

I fell in love with this little snow people and haven’t used this stamp nearly enough!  It will be retiring soon, so make sure to grab it before it goes away.  I love the punny greetings in it!  I’m kind of obsessed with the Stitched Whimsy dies again, too!  I tried to make it look like a “frame” with the snowflakes INSIDE the framed area!  lol!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock is cut with the Stitched Whimsy Dies, centered.
  • The small snowflake cluster in Snowbody Better was stamped randomly in the background with White Craft Ink, staying inside the cut frame area.
  • The Snowbody Better group were stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 4 x 4 piece of Basic White cardstock.  They were colored with Bermuda Bay Combo, Flirty Flamingo Combo, Pool Party Combo and Midnight Muse Combo Stampin’ Blends.  The bodies were water colored with watered down Smoky Slate Ink Refill.  It was hand-cut, leaving some “snow” along the bottom and adhered to the front.
  • An extra snowball was stamped with Memento Black, colored and hand-cut, then added to the bottom.
  • A Wonderful Snowflake was adhered towards the top.
  • Snowflake Hugs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White and punched with the Double Oval Punch, then added to the snowflake with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Maui Achievers Blog Hop – December 2019

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays, everyone!!!  Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Maui trip! This month’s blog hop theme is ANYTHING CURRENT!  Since Christmas is SO close and I’m done sending holiday cards for this year, I decided to move onto the upcoming holiday…Valentine’s Day!  This gives you a SNEAK PEAK of an upcoming Occasions Catalog From My Heart Suite of products!

HEARTFELT BUNDLE

I absolutely LOVE this package of Designer Paper…lots of hearts and stripes with foil accents AND some punchable hearts, too!  Better grab it early as I feel it will be VERY popular!  I’ve used three of the designs on here with a little stamping!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of From My Heart Specialty Designer Series Paper.
  • Across towards the bottom is a 1/2 x 4-1/4 strip of Real Red cardstock.
  • A 1-1/4 x 2-1/2 piece of striped From My Heart DSP was added to a 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Whisper White.
  • The Love You Lots greeting from Heartfelt Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink in the lower right corner.  This piece was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • One of the printed hearts from the From My Heart DSP was punched with the Scallop Heart Punch Pack and stamped the small heart with Real Red Ink on the inside.  It is popped up on the Front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A From My Heart Faceted Gem was added to the punched heart for a little bling!

Greek Isles Achievers Blog Hop – August 2019

Time for our monthly Greek Isles Achievers Blog Hop!  Last month’s Greek Isles trip was my favorite so far, I think!  I’m so thankful for my team and customers who helped me get there!  Definitely checked that one off my bucket list!  So, the theme for this month’s blog hop is New Holiday Catalog , which is available for demos to preorder in August, and everyone to order beginning September 4th!  I can honestly say I love almost EVERYTHING in it!

SPOOKTACULAR BASH

Since I had several of these leftover pieces already stamped and sitting on my desk, plus an idea on what to do with them, I went ahead and pulled them all together!  I love the Ornate Frames Dies…SO many uses for them!  I used the leftover reverse frame pieces from a swap I did on this card.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Basic Gray cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5 piece of Pumpkin Pie cardstock.
  • A 2-1/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Monster Mash Designer Paper in the spider web print was added across the top.
  • The greeting from Spooktacular Bash was stamped with Memento Black Ink towards the bottom of the Pumpkin Pie layer.
  • When I cut out my frames for the swap, I had these 2-1/2 Basic Black strips of the cutouts left over.  I trimmed a pair of them down to 4-1/8 length, then adhered to the DSP.
  • The Mummy and Dracula were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Whisper White, colored with Light Granny Apple Green, Light Crumb Cake and Dark Pumpkin Pie Blends, then cut with the Ornate Frame Die.  They were popped up in the frame openings with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A couple of the Monster Enamel Dots were added on each side of the greeting for a little bling.

May 2019 – Greek Isles Acheivers Blog Hop

Time for our monthly Greek Isles Achievers Blog Hop! The theme this month is New Catalog Sneak Peeks!   Can’t wait to see what everyone has done this month!  You are here at my blog, Connie Babbert, and you can continue around to all the blog hop stops by clicking on the name under mine on the list at the bottom of this post.

TO A WILD ROSE

I fell in love with To A Wild Rose at first glance…the set designed by Mary Ellen Byler for her Million Dollar Sales!  How much fun would that be!  Of course, I had to try my hand at making lavender roses…one of my very favorite colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 5-1/2 Mint Macaron cardstock.
  • A 1-3/4 x 5-1/2 piece of Mosaic Mood Designer Paper was added along the bottom.
  • The label from Wild Rose Dies was cut from Whisper White cardstock (LOVE the stitching on this!)  It was stamped with the To A Wild Rose greeting in Memento Black Ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The large rose is a triple stamp one.  The solid image was stamped off with Highland Heather Ink, the detail was stamped full strength with Highland Heather Ink and the outline was stamped with Gorgeous Grape Ink.  It was cut with the Wild Rose Die and added on front with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the left edge of the label.
  • The small posy Wild Rose die was cut from Whisper White cardstock, then layered on Perfect Posy Cardstock (one of the NEW In Colors!)  It was hand-cut around the edge, then added to the front tucked under the label and large rose.
  • Two sets of leaves were stamped on Whisper White cardstock with Garden Green Ink, then cut with the Wild Rose Die.  They were aldo tucked under the large rose.
  • For the final touch, a Perennial Essence Flower Center was added to the center of the large rose, and a small Pearl to the center of the posy.

Time for our monthly Greek Isles Achievers Blog Hop! The theme for this month is products from the Occasions and Sale-A-Bration catalogs! Should be lots of great new ideas from this talented group! Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock.
  • Along the right side, a 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 strip of How Sweet It Is Designer Paper is added.
  • A 1 x 4 piece of Gorgeous Grape cardstock was added across the front.
  • The label and greeting from Sweetest Thing were stamped with Memento Black on scrap Whisper White and cut with the Jar of Sweets Framelit.
  • The candy jar and gummy bear images from Sweetest Thing were also stamped with Memento Black Ink, colored with Stampin’ Blends and then cut with the Jar of Sweets Framelit.  They were added to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Glitter Enamel Dots were added on front.  I love how well they coordinate with this designer paper!
