CS222 – All You Need is Love

It’s a new month! Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “All You Need is Love”! Could be love at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary…so many ways to express love!

JOLLY HOLLY

I’m not quite ready to embrace Valentine’s yet, so found a beautiful greeting about love in the Jolly Holly stamp set that I’ve used quite a bit this season! I’ve also gone with a soft color palette.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Bubble Bath cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder.
The Jolly Holly greeting was stamped with Smoky Slate Ink in the upper left corner.
Two poinsettia flowers were cut from Bubble Bath cardstock with the Delicate Pines Dies and added to the front bottom right.
Two of the pine branches were cut from Soft Sea Foam cardstock. The pine branches were cut in half, then three of them tucked under the poinsettia flowers.
Some 2024-26 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the centers.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! Time is certainly flying by, and we will be full-on Christmas mode soon!

JOLLY HOLLY

Not sure why Stampin’ Up! kept this cute Sweetest Star punch and not the corresponding stamp set, but I thought it worked perfectly for a greeting!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is -1/4 x 11 Shaded Spruce cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Jolly Holly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 1/2 x 3-1/4 strip of Traditions of Christmas DSP was added towards the bottom.
The Sweetest Star was punched from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and stamped with the Jolly Holly greeting in Shaded Spruce Ink.
The star was spatterd with White Craft Ink using a speckle stamp (Coneflower Celebrations) and then added over the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two holly leaves were stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Shaded Spruce and Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. They were cut with the Jolly Holly Dies and added next to the star with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the background next to the star.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”! I love all the lights and hustle and bustle Christmas time of year!

JOLLY HOLLY

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Red is added on top.
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock is stamped randomly with JOY in Pecan Pie Ink.
A frame was cut with the Jolly Holly two rectangle Dies from Gold Foil Paper and adhered to the front so that one of the JOY greetings is featured.
The bells were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Darling Duckling and Real Red Blends, then cut with the Dies.
The leaf branches were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Old Olive cardstock. The holly was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Pretty Peacock cardstock. The poinsettias were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Real Red cardstock. All were cut with the Jolly Holly Dies and assembled on the bottom right corner of the frame.
Merry Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/8 x 2-1/2 Real Red cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then added to the front.
Some Iridescent Foil Gems were added to the center of the flowers.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge! For each Thursday in July, we pick a different sample from Stampin’ Up’s! Annual Catalog to use as our inspiration. We are not copying the card but using it to inspire our creation…maybe we use the same set or the colors or the layout or some combination of all the above…it is fun seeing where the inspiration piece will take each of the designers! Here’s this week’s inspiration:

MOST WONDERFUL

I been waiting for a chance to use the wreath in my new Most Wonderful stamp set! I think it is the same image that they used on their wedding card…but it was perfect for a Christmas card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lime Twist was stamped with the Most Wonderful wreath in Garden Green Ink in the center.
The banner was cut from Basic Beige cardstock with the Party Banners Die and stamped with the Most Wonderful greeting in Real Red Ink. It was added to the center of the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two greenery images from Jolly Holly were stamped with Garden Green Ink on Garden Green cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the top right of the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The bells from Jolly Holly were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Darling Duckling, Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then hand-cut and added on top of the greenery with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of gold Low Profile Dots were added to the background.

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Metallica”…using Gold, Silver or other Metallics on our cards.

JOLLY HOLLY

Here’s a new Online Exclusive that I am just getting around to working with…the new Jolly Holly Bundle! It has a stamp set, dies and a cool Hybrid background embossing folder that matches the dies!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Gold Foil Paper is embossed & cut with the Jolly Holly Hybrid Embossing Folder. The cut pieces were lifted and the layer adhered to the front.
A 1 x 3-3/4 piece of gold plaid Regal Distressed Patterns DSP was added to the front towards the bottom.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 3 piece of Basic Beige cardstock, then end cut at an angle, and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three poinsettias and two holly leaves were stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock. They were colored with Real Red and Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends and cut with the Dies, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Three small gold Adhesive Backed Metallic Gems were added to the center of the poinsettias.
