It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.   It’s a bright, cheery color challenge this week!

PAPER FLORIST DIES

You know when you buy something, then only use it a couple times?  That’s what happened with my Paper Florist Dies!  I don’t think of them because they are stand-alone dies without a stamp set to coordinate with them!   But thought they would be perfect for today’s color challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
  • The Masterfully Made DSP was cut with the largest Nested Essentials Die and added to the background.
  • The rounded flowers were cut from Sweet Sorbet cardstock, the centers from Daffodil Delight cardstock and the leaves from Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and put together, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Thinking of You from Garden Meadow Stamp Set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1 x 2-1/2 Daffodil Delight cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Flat Adhesive Backed Pearls were added to the background.

CS98 – Paper Florist Dies

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Dies!  So many awesome dies in the catalog that can almost make the card by themselves!

PAPER FLORIST

I’m using the Paper Florist Dies again…because I can!  lol!  Actually, this card was for a different project that I didn’t use, so I decided to use it for this challenge instead!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-½ x 8-½ Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was added to the front.
  • A 3 x 4-1/4 piece of Zoo Crew DSP was added to the center.
  • Two sets of small and large four petal flowers were cut from Tranquil Tide c/s with the Dies.  A Blending Brush was used to add Tranquil Tide Ink to the centers.  Adhere both small and large together and add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Cut three open leaves from Parakeet Party c/s with Dies, add to front tucked under the flowers.
  • Cut one large and small flower center with Die from Sweet Sorbet c/s, add to centers.
  • Cut three small flowers from Lemon Lolly c/s with Die.  Add to background.
  • Stamp Go To Greetings image with Tranquil Tide Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the letters, add to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Add Pastel Sequins to the center of Lemon Lolly flowers.

CS96 – Paper Florist Dies

Happy official 4th of July!  Hope you are celebrating with friends or family!  And, welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Dies!  So many awesome dies in the catalog that can almost make the card by themselves!

PAPER FLORIST

Of course, I wanted to make a patriotic card…and yesterday’s card would have been perfect for this theme, too!  But I pulled out my Paper Florist Dies for this card…a few runs thru the Cut & Emboss Machine and it was almost done!  No current 4th of July sentiments, so had to create my own.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sorbet cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Blueberry Bushel is embossed with the Exposed Brick Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • The three single flower petals from the Paper Florist Dies were cut twice from Sweet Sorbet cardstock, the center scallop circle from Blueberry Bushel and the center from Basic White.  The petals were curled backwards and glued together (use a second center scallop circle on the back to hold them together as you work!)  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The leaves were cut with the Dies from Parakeet Party cardstock and tucked under the flower.
  • The five petal flowers were cut from Basic White cardstock with the dies and the little centers from Sweet Sorbet cardstock.  They were added with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals over the leaves.
  • Happy and a portion of birthday from Biggest Wish Stamp Set were stamped with Sweet Sorbet Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut.  They were added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The 4 from Alphabet Al A Mode Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock.

CS90 – Paper Florist

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Mary and I will pick a theme.  This month the theme is Welcome!  We will design our cards using this theme of NEW Annual Catalog products!

PAPER FLORIST DIES

This set of Paper Florist Dies really caught my eye and I knew they had to be on my very first order!  LOVE them to create a quick & easy card…perfect for our Creatively Simple challenge!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Berry Burst cardstock was embossed with the new Exposed Brick Embossing Folder.  The edges were sponged with Berry Burst Ink.
  • The Paper Florist Die flower petals were cut from Basic White cardstock.  I used one large and two small.  The centers were cut with the Dies from Daffodil Delight, again two small and one large.  The fern leaves were cut from Lemon Lime Twist Cardstock, the smaller leaves from Garden Green cardstock.  All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Go to Greetings was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/2 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and added to the front.
  • A trio of Iridescent Rhinestones were added to the background.
