This month our Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hops will feature songs with colors in them!  This week’s song is “Two Black Cadillacs” by Carrie Underwood.  We needed to use Black with a new In Color as a pop of color!  I grabbed my Heron Habitat stamp set again for today’s card.

HERON HABITAT

 

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Parakeet Party cardstock was added on top.
• A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was cut with the Deckled Rectangle Dies and added to the front.
• The cat-tails and a few grasses were cut from Basic Black with the Heron Dies.  The large grass clump was cut from Parakeet Party cardstock with the Heron Dies.  All were assembled in the bottom left corner and adhered.
• The flying heron and greeting were stamped with Memento Black Ink, then cut with the Heron Dies.  The heron was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Some 1/8 Metallic Parakeet Party Ribbon was looped a couple times and added to the top corner with a Stampin’ Dimensional.  The greeting label was added on top with a couple Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
