It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed from the past year. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using new stamps/bundles and products!

This week we are “Casing Melissa Davies”!  I grabbed one of her Bird’s Eye View cards from last year!

PEEKABOO FOREST

This is one of the new Online Exclusive Offering that is now available for customers to order!  SOOOO cute!  I love this raccoon, and I used it to recreate Melissa’s look!

Stampin’ Details:

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mixed Media Florals black and white design I colored with the Lemon Lime Twist Ink Pad by scrapping it across the front.
• A 1 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic Black cardstock was wrapped with Gold Textured Thread and tied in a bow.  It was adhered across the front on a slight angle.
• The corners were rounded on the 2-1/2 x 3-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A 1-1/2 piece of Black & Very Vanilla Large Check Ribbon was folded in half and secured behind the white panel.
• Happy Birthday from So Sincere was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 3/4 x 3 piece of Pool Party and the ends cut in a banner.
• Three leaf clusters were cut with the Peekaboo Forest Dies and trimmed so they are stand-alone elements.  They were brushed with Lemon Lime Twist Ink for some dimension and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals on the front.
• The racoon was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Light Smoky Slate and Light Petal Pink Stampin’ Blends.  He was cut out with the Peekaboo Dies and tucked under the leaves with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A trio of Pecan Pie & Clear Ribboned Adhesive Backed Dots were added to the white panel.
