Perfect Blend

Perfect Blend again!

Yep…another card using Perfect Blend this week!  As I mentioned, it is one of the sets we are featuring this week over on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition!  This card matches my project this week, too (posting on Thursday)!  How fun to do the project AND make this card for a nice gift for your coffee lovin' friend or family member!  lol!

 

 

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Baked Brown Sugar cardstock folded in half to make the card.
  2. I added a 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Whisper White, using Gorgeous Grunge stamp set for the coffee "drips" in Baked Brown Sugar ink.
  3. I cut a Crisp Cantaloupe circle with the Circle Framelits and stamped the greeting from Perfect Blend in Baked Brown Sugar on it, along with a few "stamped off" coffee drips!
  4. I added a 1 1/2 x 3 1/2 strip of Venetian Romance Designer Paper, trimmed with Baked Brown Sugar Ruffled trim under it.  (Wants some RIBBON SHARES of this gorgeous Ruffled Ribbon?  See more details on my Ribbon Share offering HERE!)
  5. I stamped the coffee cup from Perfect Blend with Baked Brown Sugar ink on Baked Brown Sugar and cut it out.  I stamped just the lid with Calypso Coral on Whisper White and cut it out.  The sleeve portion was stamped on another pattern of Venetian Romance DSP and also cut out and adhered on the front.
  6. I added a trio of Candy Dots on the front for some extra bling!

Fun, isn't it???  Have I said I LOVE this Perfect Blend set, too?  lol!

Perfect Blend

Perfect Blend is one of the sets we are using this week over on Create with Connie and Mary Summer Edition!  I love Starbucks Coffee and HAD to buy this set as soon as I saw it in the catalog!  I've already made up several cards and a gift card holder using it!  lol!  Here's one of the cards:

 

 

I used several of the YUMMY In Colors on this card!  They all work so well together it is easy to create!  Here are the details:

  1. The 4 1/4 x 11 Pistachio Pudding is folded in half to make the base card.
  2. A 4 x 5 1/4 layer of Baked Brown Sugar was distressed along the edges and added on top, and used Gorgeous Grunge and Baked Brown Sugar Ink for a few coffee drips.
  3. Two 3/4 x 4 strips of Pistachio Pudding In Color Designer Paper Pack were added.
  4. Cut a 1 1/2 x 5 piece of Strawberry Slush Cardstock and distress the edges, then added to the right side of the front of the card.
  5. Cut a Deco Label Framelit from Whisper White, then cut off the curved edges to make it straight. 
  6. Stamp the coffee cup with Black Stazon on Baked Brown Sugar and the lid only on Whisper White, then cut out and adhere to the front of the Deco Framelit with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  7. Stamp the sleeve portion on the In Color DSP and cut out and adhere over top of the coffee cup.
  8. Add a punched star from Champagne Glitter Paper and an In Color Boutique Button of Pistachio Pudding to the top.
  9. Finally, add the greeting in Baked Brown Sugar in the upper left corner of the card.

I love how the Strawberry Slush color POPS with the more muted Pistachio Pudding and Baked Brown Sugar!

SUCO73 – Perfect Blend

Our challenge on SUO Challenges this time is to use our favorite accessory.  Well, sorry…I can't just use ONE…there are a whole LOT of accessories that I absolutely love!  But, I pulled out one of my new favorite sets, Perfect Blend, to see what I could do!  lol!  And…my favorite accessory?  Right now it is the Candy Dots…what a GREAT idea!

 

 

Here are the details:

  1. The base is 4 1/4 x 11 Whisper White, folded in half.
  2. Layered on top is a 4 x 5 1/4 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock.
  3. On top of that is a 2 1/2 x 5 1/4 strip of Epic Day Designer Paper, the hexagon print, cut with a flag end.
  4. Another Daffodil Delight print in the same DSP was cut to 2 1/4 x 3.
  5. Yet another green polka dot print from that DSP was cut to 2 x 2 and also used on the cup band. (TIP:  stamp the middle part of the coffee cup on the back of the side of DSP you are using, then cut just slightly inside the lines.  Adhere the right side showing on the cup.)
  6. The coffee cup from Perfect Blend was stamped with Black Stazon on Calypso Coral and cut out.  A Calypso Coral marker was used to highlight the shaded areas to make them darker.  Top lid of the coffee cup was stamped on Crumb Cake with Black Stazon and cut out, too.  A Crumb Cake marker was used for shading on the lid.
  7. I used a strip of Epic Day Washi tape across the front (another favorite accessory).
  8. I stamped the greeting from Perfect Blend in Black Stazon on scrap Crumb Cake and punched with the new Artisan Label Punch (yes, another favorite!) 
  9. But now…what did I use for the coffee ring stains and spots???  Can you guess?  I used the spots stamp from My Paper Pumpkin's first kit in Crumb Cake ink.  AND, I used the bottom of an embossing powder jar to make the rings.  I just inked up the bottom and stamped right on the designer paper!  Gives it a fun look!  Wish they would have included the rings stamp IN the set, but I improvised and it worked!
  10. The greeting was popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.
  11. I punched a Small Heart from Calypso Coral for the band on the cup, then added the Brights Candy Dot on top!

I love it!!!  Hope you like it, too!
