Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is some fun patriotic decorations!

SIMPLY SAID PARTY BANNER

I love these new LARGE sized party banners!  They aren’t just for making garlands…although they do make those easy to make!  Here’s one I used on my patriotic card just in time for the 4th of July!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Azure Afternoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Real Read cardstock is added on top.
  • I started with a 4 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and added 3/8″ strips of Real Red and Azure Afternoon cardstocks spaced across the bottom two-thirds.
  • I added a 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Azure Afternoon cardstock across the top.
  • Let’s Celebrate from Simply Said stamp set was stamped with Real Red Ink on a 1/2 x 4 strip of Basic White cardstock, then added under the Azure Afternoon to hide the seam.
  • Everything was cut with the seventh from largest Party Banner Die (run back and forth several times to cut thru all the layers).  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The stars from the A Little Cheer Punch Pack were punched from Basic White cardstock and added across the top randomly.
  • Some gold Low Profile Dots were added on each side of the greeting.

Saturday Blog Hop – Winter Birthday

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week we are featuring Winter birthday cards.  I always need a few of these this time of year!

SIMPLY SAID & MIXED LABELS

I made a slimline card with the focus on the Winter Meadow Designer Paper!  I added the Mixed Labels Dies for the greeting and banner, along with the GORGEOUS Two-Toned Sparkle Gems, as something new!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 7 x 8-1/2 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 3-1/2 and folded to form the slimline base.
  • A 3-1/4 x 8-1/4 piece of Winter Meadow DSP was cut featuring the pretty print and added to the front.  This type of card is great to use those big print patterns of DSP!
  • The banner was cut with the Mixed Labels Die from Shaded Spruce cardstock and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Simply Said greeting was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with another Mixed Labels Die, then added to the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was doubled and tied in a bow and added to the side of the label.
  • Three Two-Toned Sparkle Gems were added to the background (these are GORGEOUS!)

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration challenge is a colorful art print!

SIMPLY SAID

With I was a kid…nothing was better than a fresh new box of colored pencils or crayons.  I could color for hours!  Well, not much has changed.  I STILL love new coloring tools!  And I LOVE the bright colors in the Full of Life 6×6 Designer Paper Pack!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The Full of Life Designer Paper was cut to 3 x 5-1/2 in the center of the pattern (which leaves 2 cool side pieces I can use on something else!)
  • Loop the black Neutrals Baker’s Twine several times around hand and add to front with a Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • I used the baby wipe technique with Real Red, Daffodil Delight, Garden Green, Blueberry Bushel and Pumpkin Pie Ink Refills, then inked up my Simply Said Image and stamped on Basic White cardstock.  It was cut with the label die from Unbounded Love Dies.  (NOTE:  rub an eraser across your stamp several times before inking to get the best absorption of ink on the rubber.)
  • Add label to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals over the twine.
  • A trio of black Sparkle Gems were added to the background.
