IM362 – Snowman Hugs

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a wintery snowman landscape!

SNOWMAN HUGS

I combined two stamp sets…Snowman Hugs and Forever Forest to complete this card! I think it is a good representation of the inspiration photo, don’t you?

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Balmy Blue cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
I tore a 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of scrap paper and made a mask to add the snowline by brushing Balmy Blue Ink along the torn edge onto a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock. I added snowdrifts the same way below the snow line.
I stamped the row of trees from Forever Forest with Mossy Meadow Ink towards the right side, then a single tree towards the left side, leaving a gap. I colored the trunks with Light Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends and the ground under the trees with Light Crumb Cake Blends.
The snowman from Snowman Hugs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Balmy Blue, Azure Afternoon, Light Basic Black, Light Gray Granite, Light Petal Pink, Light Pecan Pie, and Light Peach Pie Stampin’ Blends. He was hand-cut and added to the front of the base card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Snowman Hugs was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 2-1/2 and the end cut at an angle. It was adhered to the front.
A trio of Iridescent Faceted Gems were added to the background and one to his hat band.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. It’s a bright color challenge this week!

SNOWMAN HUGS

I had fun with these colors and using them with my Snowman Hugs stamp set! This could be a Christmas card, a birthday card, or any occasion type of card! Who doesn’t love a “sandman”! I did have to add the neutral Crumb Cake to have it make sense.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 1-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Crumb Cake was torn across the top. It was stamped with the sand lines in Petal Pink randomly across the front.
The “sand” was added to a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Petal Pink cardstock.
A 2 x 3 piece of Snowy Scenes DSP was cut at the bottom to a banner shape and added to the left side.
The “sandman” was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight, Crumb Cake, Poppy Parade and Petal Pink, Pumpkin Pie Stampin’ Blends Combos. He was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting from Snowman Hugs stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 3/4 x 3 Basic White cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added over the banner with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the label and background.

IM348 – Snowman Hugs

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a pretty field of flowers! The first thing I saw in this photo is the bright colored stripes so I grabbed the Full of Life 6×6 DSP paper pack to see if I could find anything that would work! And the tropical snowman in the new Mini Catalog seemed like it would be a perfect fit!

SNOWMAN HUGS

Now, I know…a snowman in the tropics isn’t going to last very long and I could have made him out of sand…but oh well! He was just too cute made out of snow so let’s just go with it!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party cardstock was embossed with the Dashing Designs Embossing Folder (I love the texture of this folder!)
The 4 x 4 piece of Full of Life DSP was cut along the top at an angle and added to the Pool Party layer.
The circle was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and stamped with the snowman in Memento Black Ink. He and the cockatoo were colored with Granny Apple Green, Pumpkin Pie, Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Pool Party and Melon Mambo Stampin’ Blends. The circle was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 5/8 x 2-1/2 strip of Pool Party cardstock and the ends cut at an angle. A 1/4 x 3-1/4 strip of Granny Apple Green cardstock was added under it before adding it to the bottom of the circle with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some white Baker’s Twine Essentials Pack was tied in a bow and added next to the greeting with a Mini Glue Dot
Three green Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background for a little bling.
