Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our August theme is “Scenic”.

TEXTURED FLORAL

I really let the Splendid Autumn DSP do all the work on this card! I love this floral scene on one of the sheets but decided to jazz it up a little by cutting it into a small mosaic! I thought this greeting worked great!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The front was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder.
The Splendid Autumn DSP was cut to 3 x 4 and then cut in half at 1-1/2 and those cut to 1-1/2 and 2-1/2 to equal four pieces.
The DSP was added to a 3-1/4 x 4-1/4 piece of Basic White cardstock, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The foliage was cut from Cajun Craze cardstock with the Textured Floral Die.
The greeting from Textured Floral was stamped with Cajun Craze on Basic White cardstock and punched with the Labeled with Love Punch. The foliage was added behind the label and then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two gold Faux Glass Dots were added next to the greeting.

SUPER simple and easy to make a mass quantity if you needed! I recently have been put in touch with a local Senior Citizens Center to donate birthday cards, so I plan on using up my older packages of scenic DSP with this template! Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. We have a gorgeous flower candle arrangement to inspire you today!

TEXTURED FLORAL

My first inclination was to use the Paper Florist Dies…but then I saw Mary had used them, so I pulled out my trusty Textured Floral Bundle to use!

Details:

- The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
- A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Garden Green cardstock was added on top.
- The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Basic White was stamped with the word “smile” by using a Garden Green Stampin’ Write Marker and highlighting just that word on the image, then stamping in the lower right corner.
- The large and small flowers and stem flowers were stamped with Lemon Lolly Ink on Basic White cardstock. The leaves and flower stems were stamped with Granny Apple Green Ink on Basic White cardstock. All were cut with the Textured Floral Dies.
- Two leaf branches were cut from Garden Green cardstock.
- All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- A trio of yellow Adhesive Backed Solid Gems were added in the background.

I tried this with Daffodil Delight first and much preferred the softer color of Lemon Lolly…what do you think? OK…check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Monday Challenge over on Create with Connie and Mary!

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. This week we have a pretty color combination!

TEXTURED FLORAL

I really haven’t used my Textured Floral stamps very much and it is such a pretty set! For this challenge, I thought to create the look of Blue Bonnets…one day I’ll get to Texas to see the fields of them blooming!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Starry Sky cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Bright & Beautiful DSP were added to the sides.
On a 2-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Basic White, the leaves were first stamped with Lemon Lolly Ink and then Parakeet Party Ink stamped slightly off for a shadow effect. The stems were stamped with Parakeet Party Ink and the blossoms with Starry Sky Ink.
A 1-3/8 x 2-1/2 piece of Lemon Lolly cardstock was stamped with the Textured Floral greeting in Starry Sky Ink and added to the top of the Basic White piece.
The Basic White panel was added to a 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 layer of Lemon Lolly cardstock and then to the center of the card with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Tinsel Gems 4 pack were added to the front.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge. We have a great color challenge for you using several of the new catalog colors!

TEXTURED FLORAL

I wanted to use something OTHER than the Cheerful Daisies Bundle with the Fresh As A Daisy Designer Paper to show that you can mix and match suites of products! I chose the Textured Floral Bundle for my flowers and think they blend really well with the DSP!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 3-1/2 x 5-1/4 piece of Fresh as a Daisy DSP was torn across the top and added to the front.
The Countryside Corners Die was cut from Bubble Bath cardstock and randomly stamped with the speckle stamp in the corners using Moody Mauve Ink.
The smallest Countryside Corners Die was cut from Basic White cardstock and omit stamped with just the word SMILE from the greeting (use your Moody Mauve Inker to just ink up that word). It was added towards the right with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two of the smaller flowers were stamped with Bubble Bath Ink and centers with stamped-off Moody Mauve Ink. The two sets of leaves were stamped with Wild Wheat Ink
Two large branches were cut from Moody Mauve cardstock, one was trimmed shorter. They were adhered around the greeting label.
All pieces were added next to the greeting with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of In Color Dots were added to the background.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges. This week is a very pretty wedding theme color combination!

TEXTURED FLORAL

I thought this would be a pretty wedding card, even though I did put a birthday greeting on mine. I couldn’t think of a wedding coming up that I would use it…so birthday seemed a better use for me! Don’t you LOVE these new colors together?

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Moody Mauve cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- A 3 x 5 piece of Boho Blue In Color 6×6 DSP was added to the left side.
- A 2-3/8″ circle was punched from Basic White c/s and stamped with the Textured Floral greeting in Boho Blue Ink. It was adhered to the front.
- The large flower from Textured Floral stamp set was stamped with Boho Blue, the two medium flowers with Bubble Bath Ink and Moody Mauve Ink centers, the smallest with Moody Mauve Ink, the leaves with stamped off Smoky Slate Ink. All were cut with the Textured Floral Dies. They were adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals around the left side of the circle.
- The center of the large flower was cut from Moody Mauve cardstock and adhere to the center of the flower.
- A trio of pink Three Pack Tinsel Gems were added to the circle and background of the card.
