Touch of Kindness

It actually felt good to sit and stamp just for myself this morning for an hour. I've been consumed with finishing up the wedding projects. But, we are in the final countdown now! I'll be showing the wedding stuff off next week (I hope!) on my blog!

I followed Technostamper's Lunchtime Sketch Challenge today. This one had a lot of layers, and I used LOTS of rhinestone bling! It sparkles!

I'm sad to see that this fun set, Stampin' Up!'s Touch of Kindness, from the Summer Mini didn't make it into the big catalog! I love that the cat looks so much like my cat, Bleach. Well, at least when I color the image like her! lol!

I started with a base of Pear Pizzazz and layered on Basic Gray that I ran thru the Big Shot with the new Houndstooth Impressions Folder! I took my colors from the fun patterns in Nursery Nest and used two of the designer paper panels for the front of my card. Don't forget…stock up on that Designer Paper this month! I ran a piece of Marina Mist cardstock thru the Big Shot with the Tasteful Trim XL Die and added it at the bottom…in between each scallop I placed a Rhinestone Jewel!

I stamped the cat from Touch of Kindness stamp set with Black Stazon on Whisper White and watercolored with Basic Gray and Crumb Cake, just like my Bleach. I colored her collar Marina Mist and added a Rhinestone Jewel to the tag to make it a little more feminine! The butterfly is Daffodil Delight. I added the greeting, Hello, to the sun image in that same set and added it to the corner after I trimmed it out. I added some clouds in the background with Marina Mist ink and added the ground with Pear Pizzazz. Finally, I added a trio of large Rhinestone Jewels along the side panel.

Hmmm, now who should I send this to? They must be a cat lover, of course! Will need to think about that!

Create with Connie and Mary – Week 2 Challenge

I chose Stampin' Up!'s Touch of Kindness for my card this week, I thought the small elements on the front of the sketch would be good for this set!

I LOVE how this card turned out! The Beyond the Garden DSP made it SO bright and cherry! And the little water fountain is SO cute to go along with it! I started with the base of Tangerine Tango cardstock and layered on some Whisper White to break down the bright colors a little bit. On top of that is the yellow floral print in Beyond the Garden. Then I added a strip of the white poppy flowers on a background of Tangerine Tango with Daffodil Delight centers…that really ties the two colors together! I added a trim of Dotted Trim Ribbon under the floral print in Tangerine Tango to match the base card. I wrapped some Daffodil Delight Taffeta Ribbon around and tied a knot.

For the little background rectangles, I took one of Tangerine Tango and one of Daffodil Delight and ran them thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impresions Folder. For the focal element, I stamped the fountain in Black Stazon on Whisper White, then used my AquaPainter and Stampin' Write Markers in the colors of Basic Gray, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive and Tangerine Tango to color it in. I stamped Thinking of You from the same set in Tangerine Tango on the front, too.

Stamping 411 – Touch of Kindness

Here is another sketch challenge from Stamping 411 this week! We hope you give it a try. I must admit, I find the "trios" of images a little more challenging! I'm sure I'll be slapping my head saying, why didn't I think of that! when I see what the Stamping 411 Operators did this week!

Here is my card using Stampin' Up!'s Touch of Kindness stamp set that is in the Summer Mini. I love the darling little images, especially the cat! I colored her to look like my little Bleach kitty!

This is nice and bright and SUMMERY looking, I think. I started with a base of Rose Red cardstock. I layered on Whisper White (which is almost completely covered except for the bottom, then added the polka dot and stripe patterns from the Simply Scrappin' Kit, Playful Polka Dots. I LOVE that designer paper! I had a ton of it left from a project, so am using it on my cards now! I added a strip of Daffodil Delight cardstock that I punched with the Pinking Hearts Border Punch along the bottom.

I stamped the kitty with Black Stazon on Whisper White, then colored it with my AquaPainter and Basic Gray and Crumb Cake Stampin' Write Markers. I used Daffodil Delight on the butterfly and Pumpkin Pie for her collar. There is a tiny Rhinestone Jewel on her tag, but it is hard to see in this photo. I stamped the scallop circle with Daffodil Delight in the corner so it looked like the sun and stamped hello in the center with Rose Red ink. I used the fun Blossom Bouquet Triple Layer Punch in Old Olive, Daffodil Delight and Pumpkin Pie to make the flowers on each side of the stamped panel. I added a Rose Red button in the center, tied with White Bakers Twine.

Bitty Shopping Bag

It's my turn to do Thrifty 3D Wednesday over on Stamping 411! I made up this DARLING little Bitty Shopping Bag from the Bitty Box XL Die! Inside the shopping/gift bag holds 1-2 Ghirardelli Chocolates…and it is just as sweet as can be!

Isn't it CUTE!!! And it really is very easy to make! Great for a ladies lunch, a bridal shower or a little gift for office workers to say THANKS! I used Stampin' Up!'s Touch of Kindness stamp set to decorate the outside along with a couple punches, of course! I used the Scallop Circle for the background scallop and the 1 1/4" circle for the greeting in front…popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals. The Thanks so Much tag is from Tiny Tags and punched with the Jewelry Tag Punch.
