PS I Love You

I hope everyone had a wonderful New Year's and enjoyed the entire holiday season. I know it is always hard to get back into a routine after them. We had a "nice" surprise on New Year's Day…our basement flooded because the sump pump stopped running. Yes…that is where my stamping studio is located and right now EVERYTHING is moved out while I'm dealing with insurance and cleaners. I managed to grab a few things and bring them upstairs so I hope I can work on a few things to post to my blog…and of course my projects that are due for Create with Connie and Mary!

I grabbed this card. It is one that I did as a Make & Take at our last demo meeting…simple, but I love the color combination and it shows off a couple new products in the Occasions Mini!

I started with a base of Wisteria Wonder. I layered on Pink Pirouette that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Vintage Wallpaper Impressions Folder. I cut a panel of Whisper White cardstock and layered it on Night of Navy. I added the polka dot pattern from Sweet Shop Designer Paper across the bottom, then added some 1/4" Night of Navy Grosgrain Ribbon to hide the seam. On top, I stamped the heart from Stampin' Up!'s PS I Love You in Pink Pirouette and punched with the Full Heart Punch. I added a new Large Pearl on it. Then I stamped the Sent with Love image from PS I Love You in Night of Navy and punched with the 1" Circle. Both the heart and circle are popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals! Very quick and easy card for your workshops!

Valentine Defined

Wow…I'm back from Leadership! You cannot believe how fantastic Stampin' Up! treats us at these events! I was SO excited to see many of my friends again that I've met over the years of attending Convention and Leadership. Our conversations seem to pick up exactly where we left off! Oh well…only six more months until Convention and I see them again! Stampin' Up! demos are the BEST people! Managers' Reception at the Wildhorse Saloon was fantastic…great food, entertainment and learning how to line dance! What else could you want! Didn't see any "famous" country western stars while we were there, but the Gaylord Opryland Hotel is AWESOME! HUGE! It made the 1000 of Stampin' Up! leaders feel very small!

And here is my card!

As I've mentioned before, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE the Love Impressions Designer Paper and the Red Glimmer Paper! I combined them both on my card, along with the greeting from Valentine Defined! Really, this is a SIMPLE card and would be quick to make up a bunch of them for your Valentines!

I started with a base of Basic Gray cardstock, then ran the Pink Pirouette cardstock thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I added a 1 3/4 strip of Red Glimmer Paper along the left side, then a strip of Whisper White Taffeta Ribbon to hide the seam. I made a bow and added a Red Glimmer Brad in the center and placed it along the bottom with a Stampin' Dimensional. I punched three Full Hearts out of the Love Impressions DSP and popped them up with Stampin' Dimensionals, too. Finally, I stamped LOVE from Valentine Defined in Real Red on Whisper White and punched with the Small Oval, then layered on the Basic Gray Large Oval. That's it! I love it!

I Heart Hearts

I want to wish HAPPY BIRTHDAY to my son, Ross…my baby is 25!!! How did that happen!

Wow…another Valentine card from me already! At our downline meeting this past weekend, our theme was Valentine and Spring. It was a little hard for me to get my mojo going on those themes…I'm still thinking Christmas! Here is the swap card I developed. I cased the general idea, but changed out the DSP and colors to fit what I had on hand.

I started with a base card of Crumb Cake cardstock, then layered on Whisper White that I ran thru the Big Shot with the Perfect Polka Dots Impressions Folder. I added some Play Date Designer Paper across the front. Then I punched the heart pattern from Play Date with the Decorative Label Punch. On top, I stamped the wood heart from I {Heart} Hearts in Poppy Parade and cut it out. I added a punched small heart from the Trio Heart Punch in Crumb Cake on top. Then placed a heart button on top of it. They were all popped up with Stampin' Dimensionals.

I stamped Love You from Short & Sweet directly on the Designer Paper with Poppy Parade Classic Ink. Quick and easy!
