Happy Christmas Eve!  I hope you are enjoying the holidays…I love all the festive lights and the good mood that most people are in!  We have a busy couple of days.  But I do hope you have a wonderful holiday season!

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for December is Season’s Greetings!

WARMS MY HEART

I think this is such a fun seasonal set!  But I hadn’t used this image yet, so wanted to make sure I did!  At first, I couldn’t tell what she was holding…looking closer it is a snow globe with a snowman inside!  How fun is that?

• The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Petal Pink cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
• A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Snowy Wonder Designer Paper is added on top.
• I cut the circle from Basic White cardstock using the Spotlight on Nature Dies, then stamped the girl with Memento Black Ink.  She was colored with Granny Apple Green, Pool Party, Pecan Pie, Crumb Cake and Ivory Stampin’ Blends.
• The greeting from Warms My Heart was stamped with Memento Black ink on Petal Pink cardstock and cut with a smaller circle in the Spotlight on Nature Dies.
• The snowflake was cut from Basic White using the One of a Kind Die.
• All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A large white Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishment was added to the center of the snowflake for a little bling!

I wouldn’t have picked Granny Apple Green to use on her top, but my Color Coach showed me that it was a Triadic color choice!  Love it!  Now, check out Debbie’s new Creatively Simple card over on Create with Stamping Friends!

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge!  Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards.  Our theme for November is Christmas!  Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

WARMS MY HEART

I haven’t used this lady in this Warms My Heart stamp set yet!  It’s a fun Christmas image!

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
• Three rectangles were cut from the Take A Bow 6×6 Designer Paper in sizes polka dot 1-3/4 x 3-1/4, red polka dot 3/4 x 5 and green stripe 1 x 4.  They were layered on the Basic White.
• The wreath gal was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Ivory, SU100, SU300, Real Red Combo, Light Old Olive and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends.  She was hand-cut and added to the front with Stmapin’ Dimensionals.  NOTE:  To get the “Garden Green” color, I used a layer of Light Shaded Spruce Blends first, then added Light Old Olive Blends on top.
• The greeting was partially stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 1-3/4 Real Red cardstock and cut the end at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• A trio of gold Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

WARMS MY HEART

I’ve had this little lady sitting already cut and colored on my desk for weeks!  I decided it was finally time to use her!  This card is pretty simple with an easy layout and designer paper!  You could leave off the Gold Woven Leaves and Linen Thread for something even easier, but I like what they added!

• The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
• A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Days of Autumn 12×12 Designer Paper was added on top.
• The 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Cajun Cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
• A coordinating 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Days of Autumn DSP added over it.
• The circle was cut from Basic Beige with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The apple lady from Warms My Heart was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Pecan Pie and Ivory Stampin’ Blends.  She was hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the letters.  It was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
• Two Gold Woven Leaves were added behind the top of the greeting with Mini Glue Dots.
• Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the leaves with Mini Glue Dots.
