Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for November is Christmas! Time to be thinking about what you will be making for Christmas cards and gifts!

WARMS MY HEART

I haven’t used this lady in this Warms My Heart stamp set yet! It’s a fun Christmas image!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Garden Green cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock was added on top.
Three rectangles were cut from the Take A Bow 6×6 Designer Paper in sizes polka dot 1-3/4 x 3-1/4, red polka dot 3/4 x 5 and green stripe 1 x 4. They were layered on the Basic White.
The wreath gal was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Ivory, SU100, SU300, Real Red Combo, Light Old Olive and Light Shaded Spruce Stampin’ Blends. She was hand-cut and added to the front with Stmapin’ Dimensionals. NOTE: To get the “Garden Green” color, I used a layer of Light Shaded Spruce Blends first, then added Light Old Olive Blends on top.
The greeting was partially stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 1-3/4 Real Red cardstock and cut the end at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of gold Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our theme for October is Happy Harvest! Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

WARMS MY HEART

I’ve had this little lady sitting already cut and colored on my desk for weeks! I decided it was finally time to use her! This card is pretty simple with an easy layout and designer paper! You could leave off the Gold Woven Leaves and Linen Thread for something even easier, but I like what they added!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Days of Autumn 12×12 Designer Paper was added on top.
The 2-3/4 x 3-1/2 piece of Cajun Cardstock was embossed with the Forever Plaid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A coordinating 1/2 x 4-1/2 piece of Days of Autumn DSP added over it.
The circle was cut from Basic Beige with the Spotlight on Nature Dies and adhered to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The apple lady from Warms My Heart was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Daffodil Delight, Cajun Craze, Old Olive, Pecan Pie and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. She was hand-cut and added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Basic White cardstock and hand-cut around the letters. It was added to the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two Gold Woven Leaves were added behind the top of the greeting with Mini Glue Dots.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added to the bottom of the leaves with Mini Glue Dots.

I think these images in Warms My Heart are so cute! I chose the pumpkin one for my next Happy Harvest card for October!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Mossy Meadow cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was brushed with Lemon Lolly Ink using a Blending Brush.
A 1 x 4 strip of Iconic Celebrations leaf print was added towards the bottom.
Another 1/4 x 4 strip of green stripe Iconic Celebrations DSP was added across the top of the DSP.
The greeting from Warms My Heart was stamped with Mossy Meadow Ink.
The pumpkin gal was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Old Olive, Pumpkin Pie, Pecan Pie, Boho Blue and Ivory Stampin’ Blends. She was hand-cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of green Faux Glass Dots were added to the background!

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. This week is a fun sketch challenge!

WARMS MY HEART

I love this set…the hand-drawn girl images are just so fun to use for my gal pals for the upcoming seasons! It has been so cool at night here in Ohio, it feels like fall already! And the pumpkin patches are definitely gearing up for a busy season!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was added on top.
Two 2-1/2 x 3-3/4 pattens of Perennial Lavender Designer Paper were added to the front.
Next two 1/4 x 6 strips of Boho Blue cardstock was adhered across the front diagonally and the excess trimmed off.
The pumpkin gal was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the Nested Essentials Die and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hey Pumpkin greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on a 1/2 x 2-1/2 piece of Boho Blue cardstock and the end trimmed at an angle. It was adhered to the front.
A trio of Adhesive Backed Sequins Trio were added in the background.

It was fun to use a designer paper that you wouldn’t normally pick to use for fall! But it works! OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Pocket Cards

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. During August we have been doing fun-folds! This week’s challenge is pocket cards…any type of pocket card.

WARMS MY HEART

This is another upcoming Sept-Dec Mini Catalog stamp set that I just had to preorder! They are small enough images to be easy to color and I had lots of fun with this fall apple season image! And don’t you LOVE this Take a Bow DSP? PERFECT small prints!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 7-1/2 Granny Apple Green cardstock and scored at 4-1/4 with the shorter flap on top.
A 1-1/4 x 5-1/4 piece of polka dot Take A Bow 6×6 Designer Paper was added to the inside of the back panel.
Another 2-3/4 x 5-1/4 piece of plaid Take A Bow DSP was added to the front flap.
Some Tear & Tape was added to each side on the shorter panel and then adhered to the back panel to form the pocket.
Then 3/4 x 4-1/2 strip of the polka dot Take A Bow DSP was added across the front pocket.
The circle was cut from Basic White with the Spotlight on Nature Die, then stamped with the apple lady in Memento Black Ink. It was colored with Daffodil Delight, Pecan Pie, Poppy Parade, Ivory, Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Hello from More Than Autumn was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/4 x 1 Granny Apple Green cardstock and the ends cut at an angle, then adhered to the edge of the circle.
The pocket card is 3-1/2 x 4-1/2 Basic White cardstock and stamped the greeting in the center with Poppy Parade Ink.
The Keeping Tabs was punched from Granny Apple Green cardstock and folded around the top left side.
a 1 x 4-1/2 strip of plaid Take a Bow DSP was added across the bottom.
Two apples from More Than Autumn were stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Poppy Parade and Granny Apple Green Stampin’ Blends then added to the Keeping Tabs punched piece.
A trio of Shiny Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.
