CS100 – Little Monkey

Welcome to Create with Connie and Mary’s Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Mary and I will pick a theme. This month the theme is Summer Fun! I had an idea pop into my head almost immediately!

LITTLE MONKEY

I probably stretched the “simple” part of today’s challenge, although it did come together REALLY quickly! The punch and dies did make it simple to make! My two grandsons enjoy using their skim boards along the edge of the Gulf of Mexico when they are in Florida…thought this was perfect for them!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Lemon Lolly cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded!
The 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Azure Afternoon was stamped with the wave Waves of Inspiration stamp set using Azure Afternoon Ink and added to the front.
The monkey was punched from Pecan Pie cardstock and his face from Crumb Cake cardstock using the Little Monkey Punch. The ears were colored with Pecan Pie Stampin’ Blends.
The leaf from Little Monkey was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Berry Bliss and Lemon Lolly Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut and added to the wave with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The monkey was added on top of the “surfboard” with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped on Basic White cardstock with Berry Bliss Ink. The label and clouds were cut with the Waves Dies and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some blue Sheer Ribbon Combo was tied in a bow on the label and the other side cut off.
A trio of white Sparkle Gems were added to the waves.

Achievers Blog Hop – March 2022

Our Stampin’ Up! Incentive Trip Achievers get together each month for a Blog Hop! I’m blessed with great customers and downline who helped me achieve this year’s Incentive Trip Reward. I’m still working hard to earn the next Baltic Cruise one! Our theme this month is ANYTHING CURRENT!

WAVES OF INSPIRATION

I was going for a nautical flag look to my background DSP piece. Not sure if it really worked, but I still liked how it turned out.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pool Party was stamped with the wave image from Waves of Inspiration in the top left and bottom right corners for a textural look.
I cut five 1/2 x 2-3/4 strips of the dark blue Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper. (Did you know that the Stampin’ Up! artist created this DSP by photographing actual poured paint samples? How cool!) and added them to a 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Basic White cardstock.
The happy birthday greeting from Waves of Inspiration stamp set was stamped with Night of Navy Ink in one of the open Basic White stripes.
A 3/4 x 4 piece of Crumb Cake was added across the front.
The pelican/post was stamped with Soft Suede Ink on a 1-3/4 x 3-3/4 piece of Basic White cardstock and colored with Light Crumb Cake, Light So Saffron and Light Smoky Slate Stampin’ Blends. The bottom was cut at a flag end. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two birds were cut with the Waves Dies from Crumb Cake cardstock.
Two Rhinestone Waves Basic Jewels were added to the Crumb Cake strip.

IM218 – Waves of Inspiration

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge! This week we have some fun beachy cookies for our inspiration!

WAVES OF INSPIRATION

I had to use the new Waves of Inspiration for my card today. I love these giant waves rolling in and the Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper was just a perfect match to the cookies!

Stampin’ Details:

- The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pacific Point cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
- The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was stamped with the Paradise Palms greeting in Pacific Point Ink.
- The sun was cut with the Picture Perfect dies from Daffodil Delight cardstock. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
- The clouds and wave detail were cut from Basic White cardstock with the Waves Dies. The cloud was added over the sun.
- The birds were cut from the teal Foil Paper and adhered to the front.
- The detail wave was added to a piece of Waves of the Ocean Designer Paper, then hand-cut around it and trimmed to fit the front panel.
