It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  It’s a pretty color combination to inspire you…it reminds me of winter! I love these colors together!

WISHES ALL AROUND

Again with snowflakes!  Have you ever bought a stamp set or bundle for just ONE thing?  For me it was this snowflake wreath in the Wishes All Around dies!  I love it!  Look closely…can you see the sparkling “diamonds” on the wreath?  It is so pretty in person!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Balmy Blue carstock was added to the front.
  • A 2-3/4 x 4 piece of Beary Christmas DSP was added to the front towards the right side.
  • A 1 x 4-3/4 strip of Misty Moonlight cardstock was added over top.
  • The wreath from Wishes All Around Dies was cut from Basic White cardstock and adhered on front.
  • The greeting from Wishes All Around (the second reason I bought this bundle!) was stamped with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then punched with the 1-1/2 Circle Punch, it was added to a 1-3/4 Circle cut from Real Red cardstock and then added to the center of the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Small Rhinestone Jewels were added to each center of the snowflakes for lots of bling!

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  Here is a pretty wreath for you.  With the colors, I thought it could either be fall or Christmas, so I went with Christmas!

 

WISHES ALL AROUND

The leaf print in the metallic Shining Brightly Designer Paper works great for the background of my wreath!

 

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cherry Cobbler cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • The 3-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Shining Brightly DSP was torn along the right side, then adhere on the front.  (The extra was placed inside along the edge!)
    • The wreath from Wishes All Around was cut once from Crumb Cake cardstock and once from Cherry Cobbler cardstock, then adhered together and added to the front.
    • The Very Vanilla Metallic Ribbon was tied in a bow and added to the top of the wreath.
    • The Wishes All Around greeting was stamped with Cherry Cobbler on 3/4 x 3-1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock and the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the front.
    • Some gold Pastel Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the wreath for a little more bling!

Saturday Blog Hop – Casing Cindy Elam 2023

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Connie and Mary Blog Hop. For the next several weeks we will be “Casing the Designer”. Each week we have picked a designer and will select a card she designed. We will use the Colors and Layout of her design and recreate our version using stamps/bundles from the September-December Mini Catalog!

This week we are “Casing Cindy Elam”!  Here’s her Christmas wreath card that I chose from last year’s holiday catalog.

And here’s how I updated her card using the new Wishes All Around Bundle for a quick Christmas card!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and embossed the front side with the Snowflake Sky embossing folder.
  •  1-1/2 x 5-1/2 Joy of Christmas Designer Paper was added down the center of the front.
  • The tree wreath from Wishes All Around was stamped with Shaded Spruce Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Wishes All Around Die and added to the front with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The greeting from Wishes All Around was stamped with Real Red Ink on 3/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Basic White cardstock and cut with flag ends.  It was added with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bow from Sending Cheer was cut from Distressed Gold Paper and trimmed.  It was added with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
  • Some Neutral Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background and the center of the bow.

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a pretty color combination for you to try.

WISHES ALL AROUND

I’m using one of my new sets, Wishes All Around.  I just LOVE the snowflake wreath!  I think I bought the bundle just for that one die!  lol!  But, you already know I love my snowflakes!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue c/s, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was blended with Boho Blue Ink using a Blending Brush.  The snowflake trio was also stamped off several times in the background with Boho Blue Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the Basic White.
  • The 1/4 x 4 strip of Misty Moonlight c/s was added to hide the seam.
  • The snowflake wreath was cut from Fresh Freesia c/s with the Die and adhered to the top.
  • The greeting from Wishes All Around was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink and cut with the Deckled Circles Die and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the wreath.
  • The silver Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added at the top of the wreath.
