CS264 – Thanks & Giving

September is flying by, isn’t it?  This week we are continuing with our monthly Creatively Simple theme “Fall Flora”!

THANKS & GIVING

I really like this stamp set…another one that is in the September Online Exclusives that you can easily miss!

 

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is stamped with the wreath in Basic Black Ink and colored with Old Olive, Lemon Lime Twist, Cajun Craze, Pumpkin Pie and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends.
  • Two 3/4 x 5-1/4 strips of Autumn Opulence DSP were added to each side.
  • Two pumpkins were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Basic Black Ink and colored with Pumpkin Pie and Old Olive Blends, then hand-cut.
  • The small branch die from Fern & Flora was cut twice from Old Olive and twice from Cajun Craze and adhered to the wreath.  The pumpkins were added on top with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the pumpkins.
  • Give Thanks from Thanks & Giving was stamped with Cajun Craze on 5/8 x 3 Lemon Lime Twist cardstock and the ends banner cut.  It was added to the front across the bottom.

Welcome back to our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenges.  Here is a fun Halloween wreath to inspire you!

BAG OF BONES

Of course…what else could I use besides the Bag of Bones skeleton for my card today…and I used the new Wishes All Around wreath with it, too!

Details:

    • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Thick Very Vanilla cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
    • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Let’s Go Fishing Designer Paper was added on top.
    • The wreath was cut with the Wishes All Around Dies from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front.
    • Some of the greenery and the hat were cut with the Dies from Real Red cardstock and layered over the wreath.
    • The skeleton was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Very Vanilla cardstock and cut with the Bag of Bones Die.  The legs were slightly bent and adhered as if he is sitting on the wreath.  The hat was added to the skeleton.
    • The rose from Bag of Bones was stamped with Memento Black Ink and colored with Real Red Stampin’ Blends, then cut and added to the hat.
    • Boo to You was stamped with Real Red Ink on 3/4 x 1-1/2 Very Vanilla cardstock, trimmed like a tag, and added to the hand.
    • Some white Sparkle Gems were added to the wreath.
    • The Black & Very Vanilla checked ribbon wastied in a bow and added with Mini Glue Dots.

CCMC784 – Wishes All Around

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Connie and Mary Thursday Challenge.  This week we have a pretty color combination for you to try.

WISHES ALL AROUND

I’m using one of my new sets, Wishes All Around.  I just LOVE the snowflake wreath!  I think I bought the bundle just for that one die!  lol!  But, you already know I love my snowflakes!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Boho Blue c/s, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White was blended with Boho Blue Ink using a Blending Brush.  The snowflake trio was also stamped off several times in the background with Boho Blue Ink.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of One Horse Open Sleigh Designer Paper was added to the bottom of the Basic White.
  • The 1/4 x 4 strip of Misty Moonlight c/s was added to hide the seam.
  • The snowflake wreath was cut from Fresh Freesia c/s with the Die and adhered to the top.
  • The greeting from Wishes All Around was stamped with Misty Moonlight Ink and cut with the Deckled Circles Die and adhered with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of blue Tinsel Gems Three Pack were added to the wreath.
  • The silver Simply Elegant Trim was tied in a bow and added at the top of the wreath.

IM203 – Sparkle of the Season

Happy Monday! It’s time for our Create with Connie and Mary Inspiration Monday challenge!  This week we have a pretty table décor arrangement for our inspiration piece!  I decided to use the wreath for the inspiration for my card.  I’m SO happy I bought these Seasonal Swirls Dies…love how easy they are to create paper wreaths!

 

 

SPARKLE OF THE SEASON BUNDLE

Stampin’ Details:

    • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Blackberry Bliss cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
    • The 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Timber Embossing Folder, then Soft Suede Ink sponged across the highlights of the woodgrain.
    • The evergreen wreath from Seasonal Swirls Dies was cut from Pear Pizzazz cardstock and the leaf wreath from Mossy Meadow cardstock, then adhered together on the front of the Crumb Cake cardstock.
    • Some extra leaves were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock and adhered to the wreath.
    • The greenery was punched with the Symmetrical Stems Border Punch from Blackberry Bliss cardstock and tucked around the wreath.
    • Grateful from Sparkle of the Season was stamped with Blackberry Bliss Ink on 1/2 x 2-1/4 Basic White cardstock, then adhered on a 5/8 x 2-3/8 piece of Blackberry Bliss cardstock with the end cut at an angle.  It was added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
    • The Black & White Gingham Ribbon was colored with the Blackberry Bliss Stampin’ Write Marker and tied in a bow, then added to the wreath with a Mini Glue Dot.
    • Some Brushed Metallic Dots were added to the wreath.

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – Gold, White and a Color

Woohoo, it’s time for the Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Blog Hop! This week’s theme is a color challenge…Gold/White/Any Color!  I chose Crumb Cake…a neutral for my “any color” as I thought it went well with the Gold & White.  I pulled out a lot of different “gold” elements for this card…was kind of fun mixing and matching them!

Here are the details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Whisper White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • At the bottom, Noel was inked with Versamark, then embossed with Gold Embossing Powder.
  • The large swirl from Swirly Scribbles Framelits was cut from Gold Metallic Cardstock and added to the top.
  • Several pine branches from Pretty Pines Thinlets were cut from Whisper White and added to the bottom of the “wreath”.
  • The solid pinecone backs were cut from Gold Glimmer Paper and the lacy tops from Gold Metallic Cardstock, and adhered together with Tombow Multipurpose Glue, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A length of Gold Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the top of the pine cones.
  • Since I thought the background was too plain, I added some splatter from my Gold Wink of Stella by tapping it against a pen.  Love just the touch of glimmer it adds to the background!

 

Definitely have a wonderful combination of the gold products that Stampin’ Up! offers!  I love how “royal” this card looks!  lol!

Circle of Spring again

I forgot to post the second Mother’s Day wreath card I did using Circle of Spring, this one was for my mother-in-law.  I love how Watermelon Wonder looks with Crumb Cake…who knew?

 

Circle of Spring

 

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Watermelon Wonder cardstock folded in half.
  • On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock, strips of Affectionately Yours Washi Tape were added at the top and bottom
  • The wreath from Circle of Spring was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink, the colored with Watermelon Wonder, So Saffron, and Old Olive Markers.  It was cut with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.
  • A 1-3/4 Circle was stamped with the Happy Mother’s Day greeting with Tuxedo Black Ink, then added to a white Doily and the front of the card.
  • The wreath was attached to the doily over the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.  Note:  If you like this 4″ size, you’d better grab some!  The new size in the catalog is 3-1/2″ and won’t frame as nicely behind the wreath!
  • Watermelon Wonder cardstock was punched with the Bow Builder Punch and added to the front with Mini Glue Dots.

I really love how the wreath is framed by the doily and pops on the Crumb Cake background!

 

 

CCMC Saturday Blog Hop – For the Ladies

It’s Saturday and you know what that means!!!  It’s time for another Create with Connie and Mary Saturday Design Team Blog Hop!  This week’s theme is For That Special Lady…can be a mom, sister, or special friend!  We all need ideas for these wonderful ladies in our lives!  I was fortunate to spend last weekend at a stamping retreat to two of my most special friends that live FAR away from me now!

 

Another wonderful woman in my life is my mother!  I thought I’d share my the Mother’s Day card I made for her using Circle of Spring stamp set.  Of course, I snuck in TWO of the new In Colors, Sweet Sugarplum and Peekaboo Peach!  I love them combined.

 

Circle of Spring
 

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Sweet Sugarplum, folded in half.
  • On top is a 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock.
  • Along the left side is a strip of Playful Palette Washi Tape in the striped pattern.
  • The Circle of Spring wreath was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink and colored with Peekaboo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum and Pear Pizzazz Markers.  It was cut with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits.
  • My Amazing Mother from Greatest Greetings (made it in the new catalog!) was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black Ink on a strip of Sweet Sugarplum and cut with a flag end.
  • Peekaboo Peach cardstock was punched with the Bow Builder punch twice, then assembled into a bow for the front with Mini Glue Dots.
  • A little sparkle with some random Rhinestones puts on the finishing touch!

SUOC144 Circle of Spring

Another challenge over on SUO Challenges…and the theme is Spring!  LOVE to see Spring arrive…the bright green tree buds, the fat robins, warmer temps, and early flowers popping their heads from the ground!  We are lucky to be seeing an early Spring this year!  So, here’s what I came up for my Design Team card!

 

One of my customers mistakenly ordered two of this Circle of Spring stamp sets…instead of returning it, I ordered the other wreath one she wanted and kept this one for myself!  I paired it with the soft colors in Birthday Blossoms Designer Paper and used this week’s Create with Connie and Mary sketch (told you I loved it!)

Here are the details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Blushing Bride, folded in half.
  • Along the bottom I added a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of the Birthday Blossoms striped paper and at the top 2-1/2 x 4 green polka dot print from the same DSP.
  • Across on a diagonal I adhered a 1-1/2 x 5 piece of Mint Macaron, then tripped off the excess on the sides.  A 1/4 x 5 strip of Blushing Bride cardstock hides the top seam and a row of Pearls hides the bottom seam.
  • The Circle of Spring wreath was stamped with Memento Tuxedo Black, then colored with Pool Party, Blushing Bride, So Saffron and Mint Macaron Markers and cut with the Wonderful Wreath Framelits (same one as the Christmas wreaths).  Pearls were added to the centers of a couple flowers.  It was popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The bow was stamped with Tuxedo Black Ink on Blushing Bride cardstock and cut with the bow in the Wonderful Wreath Framelits package.
  • Hello Spring from the Circle of Spring stamp set was stamped with Tuxedo Black on a 3/4 x 1-1/2 piece of Whisper White and added over top the Mint Macaron cardstock.
