IM19 – You’re Priceless

It’s time for Create with Connie and Mary’s Inspiration Monday!!! When I saw the inspiration, I knew immediately what I’d be using…BRUSHO CRYSTALS!!! Not too long ago, I spent the entire day just trying various techniques using the Brusho Crystals. This was one of my samples! So, here is what I came up with using my Brusho Crystals on Shimmery White cardstock. I let the background be the dominant focus of the card!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Real Red cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
On top is 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pacific Point cardstock.
The Prussian Blue and Red Brusho Crystals were sprinkled on Shimmery White cardstock (a little blue goes a LONG way!) and then spritzed with water at close range. Love how it runs and melds together!
The greeting from You’re Priceless was stamped with Memento Black on Whisper White cardstock, then cut apart and adhered in the center of the card. The word Diamond was colored with a Real Red Marker and popped up with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The diamond gemstone was stamped with Memento Black, and the inside with Smoky Slate for a very subtle look. The entire thing was covered with Clear Wink of Stella.

The background shimmers from the Shimmery White and the gemstone shimmers from Wink of Stella! SOOO pretty in real life. OK…go check out what Mary did with the Inspiration Challenge this week over on Create with Connie and Mary!

You’re Priceless

My studio is finally finished at the new house and the cabinets are completely installed. Well, to be honest, I still have a couple boxes sitting here to unload, but I have been working in it a few weeks now and am getting used to the layout and where I’ve put everything. One thing I did was put my stamp set cases in drawers next to me. One drawer holds all the current Annual Catalog stamp sets…and the one below holds the Holiday Catalog…along with the current embellishments. Since the Holiday Catalog came out, I’ve been pretty much ignoring the Annual catalog. My goal was to start using them again…along with the Designer Paper I’ve been hoarding. I LOVE the gemstone paper in Naturally Eclectic…and finally cut into it for this card! Of course, I had to get the You’re Priceless stamp set that went along with it!

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Tranquil Tide cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, the gemstone image was stamped randomly with Soft Sky Ink across the top half. Then a 2-1/2 x 4 piece of Naturally Eclectic DSP was added to the bottom.
A piece of Island Indigo Ombre Ribbon hides the seam (and looks more like Tranquil Tide, don’t you think?)
The greeting from You’re Priceless was stamped with Night of Navy Ink on Soft Sky cardstock, then punched with the Everyday Label Punch. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two gem backgrounds were stamped in Lemon Lime Twist and Tranquil Tide Inks, then on top with Night of Navy Ink for the outline image. They were cut out by hand and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The gemstones were colored with a little Wink of Stella to make them shimmer!

CCMC469 You’re Priceless

It’s Thursday and time for another Create with Connie and Mary Challenge. We’re doing a color challenge this week with TWO of the new In Colors!

Here’s what I came up with using a new stamp set, You’re Priceless! I love the gemstones in it and the fun greetings! Watercolor wash backgrounds are SO popular right now, so I decided to use the Fresh Fig and Powder Pink inks in my background for a soft look under my gems.

Here are the details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Fresh Fig cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
On the 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Whisper White, I used an AquaPainter and the Fresh Fig and Powder Pink Ink Pads with lots of water to scribble the “washed” colors. Let dry.
Stamp over the wash with the gemstones in Powder Pink and Fresh Fig inks at the top and bottom diagonally.
A 1/2 x 4 piece of Night of Navy cardstock was cut with flag ends and placed across the front, then a 1/4 x 4 piece of Powder Pink cardstock across the center to soften it.
You’re Brilliant was stamped with Night of Navy ink.
The diamond outline was cut from Dazzing Diamonds Glimmer Paper and the detail cut from Silver Glimmer Paper with the Eclectic Layers Thinits. It is popped up on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A few Glimmer Dots are randomly placed on the background.
