Saturday Blog Hop – Falling Leaves with Non-traditional colors

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week’s challenge is “falling leaves with non-traditional colors”.

I love blue/teal leaves. This card came together pretty quickly using the Artistic Leaves stamp set!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Cloud Cover cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 2-1/2 x 5-1/2 piece of Timeless Plaid Designer Paper was added across the center.
The Everyday Arches was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Die and added to the center.
The large leaf was stamped with Lost Lagoon and the detail with Cloud Cover Inks and hand-cut, then added to the arch with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The Artistic Leaves greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 3-3/4 strip of Cloud Cover cardstock and the ends banner cut. It was added across the bottom of the arch with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some White Baker’s Twine was colored with the Lost Lagoon Dark Stampin’ Blends, then tied in a bow and added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Two-Tone Sparkle Gems were added to the background.

IM402 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is a pretty fall wreath!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I love the colors off fall! Summer is my favorite season, but fall is a close second! I love taking leaf images and making wreaths from them. Here’s another idea using the single leaf in Artistic Leaves!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pumpkin Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Autumn Toile Designer Paper was added on top.
A 2″ circle was punched from Basic Beige cardstock and stamped with the greeting in Early Espresso Ink in the center. It was adhered to the front.
The single leaf was stamped twice with Old Olive, twice with Crushed Curry, twice with Cajun Craze and once with Pumpkin Pie Inks on Basic Beige cardstock. The detail image was stamped with Basic Beige Ink on all the leaves. They were hand-cut and added around the edge of the circle with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The pumpkins from Choose Happy stamp set were stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Pumpkin Pie cardstock, the stems colored with SU100 Stampin’ Blends and the speckled stamp in Artistic Leaves stamped with Pumpkin Pie Ink. They were hand-cut and added to the wreath with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Two acorns and two berry branches were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Branching Out Dies. The acorns were brushed with Early Espresso Ink. They were adhered and tucked around the pumpkins on the wreath.
Some Old Olive Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added under the pumpkins with a Mini Glue Dot.
A trio of Cajun Craze & Gold Dots were added to the background.

IM401 – Artistic Leaves

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration is some plaid patterns!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

Of course, our Timeless Plaids DSP was a perfect backdrop for my card! I had these 2″ squares left over from my stamp class last week!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Cajun Craze cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was added on top.
Two coordinating patterns of the 2″ square Timeless Plaid DSP were added side by side on the front.
The Artistic Leaves large leaf was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink and the inside with Basic Beige Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and speckles with Cajun Craze Ink. It was hand-cut and added to the center of the card.
The greeting was stamped with Cajun Craze Ink in the center and stamped off speckles added around with Cajun Craze Ink. It was punched with the 1-1/2″ Circle Punch and added to the front.
The 5″ Irregular Weave Trim was tied in a knot and then added to the stem with a Mini Glue Dot.

Saturday Blog Hop – Pink Champagne

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This month we will be featuring song titles with colors in them! This week’s theme is “Pink Champagne” by Ariana Grande.

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I already made a poinsettia with the leaf from this set, so decided a pink flower would work! I love the Sunflower embossing folder background, too!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty in Pink cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Strawberry Slush cardstock is embossed with the Sunflower Embossing Folder.
The Everyday Arches was cut with the die from Basic White cardstock, turned upside down and stamped with the greeting in Strawberry Slush Ink across the top. It was adhered to the front.
A 1/4 x 3-3/4 strip of Pretty in Pink cardstock was added across the front.
The leaf was stamped 5 times with Strawberry Slush Ink and the detail with Pretty in Pink Ink. The leaves were stamped 3 times with Lemon Lime Twist Ink. All were hand cut and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the center of the flower.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Party Time”! This is our last one…next week we have a new theme!

ARTISTIC LEAVES

I love the artistic look of blue leaves…here I’ve stamped on variegated designer paper to get the look I wanted!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Lost Lagoon cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Mini Corrugated Embossing Folder (sadly, now discontinued!) and added to the front.
The two large leaves were stamped with Lost Lagoon Ink on Thoughtful Journey Designer Paper and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The smaller leaf was stamped three times with Basic Beige Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some Linen Thread was tied in a large loop bow and added to the leaf with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.
The greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Lost Lagoon cardstock and cut with the Textured Notes Die, the end was cut at an angle and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

Saturday Blog Hop – Red & Green

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. This week our theme is “Red & Green…Christmas in July”. I always have fun using a leaf image to make a flower! The leaf in the new Artistic Leaves stamp set worked perfectly for my poinsettia for Christmas!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
A 3 x 5 piece of Take a Bow Designer Paper (just sold out) was added to the front.
The greeting was stamped on Basic White cut with the Party Banner Die. Joy from Jolly Holly Stamp Set was stamped in Shaded Spruce Ink. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Five of the single leaf in Artistic Leaves were stamped on Basic White cardstock with Shaded Spruce Ink, the filled in with the Shaded Spruce Light Stampin’ Blends. They were hand-cut.
The single leaf was stamped five times around in a circle with Real Red Ink, then colored with Light Poppy Parade Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut.
Another five leaves were stamped individually with Real Red Ink on Basic White cardstock, then hand-cut and added over the circle of red leaves.
The leaf circle was added first to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals, then the single red leaves on top with more Stampin’ Dimensionals. The green leaves were tucked under the poinsettia with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of large Drusy Adhesive Backed Embellishments were added to the center of the poinsettia.
