IM416 – Ornamental Christmas

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty mountain scene!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

You’ll have to look closely to see the majority of stamping on this card!  I used the evergreen tree from the Ornamental Christmas Stamp Set with Mossy Meadow Ink across the bottom of the striped Celebratory Sips Designer Paper!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Misty Moonlight cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige cardstock was stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting at the bottom with Mossy Meadow Ink.
  • The Black & Gold Twine was wrapped several times around the Basic Beige layer and tied in a bow at the left side.  The cardstock was added to the base card.
  • The green stripe Celebratory Sips DSP was torn across the top and stamped across with the pine tree from Ornamental Christmas in Mossy Meadow Ink.  It was adhered to a 3-3/4 x 5 piece of Misty Moonlight,
  • A larger piece of Basic Beige cardstock was torn across the top, then brushed with Basic Beige Ink on the torn edges and tucked above the green DSP.
  • A white panel was hand-cut into a “mountain” background and added above the Basic Beige torn piece.
  • The deer from Autumn Trees Dies were cut from Basic Black cardstock and added to the front of the stamped green stripe DSP.
  • All the layers were then cut with the Perennial Postage Die.  It was set slightly off center on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A 1″ circle was cut from Basic White cardstock for the moon.

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a holiday color challenge this week with metallics!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

I told myself that I would use a different set than Ornamental Christmas for this challenge, but it just organically happened!  I had a couple pieces already cut, so this card came together pretty quickly!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Thick Basic White cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 3-3/4 x 5 layer of Basic White cardstock was embossed with the Jolly Holly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • A 2-3/4 x 4-1/2 piece of Modern Christmas Designer Paper was added at an angle on the front.
  • The star from Ornamental Christmas Dies was cut from Gold Foil Paper and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The Ornamental Christmas greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Basic White cardstock, then cut with the ornament die.
  • The top of the ornament was cut form Gold Foil Paper and adhered to the top.  The ornament was added to the front on top of the star with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Black & Gold Twine was tied in a bow and added to the ornament top.
  • A trio of black Neutral Matte Dots were added in the background.

CS221 – Ornamental Christmas

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”!  I think placing the ornaments on the tree is magical!  They are the jewelry of the tree!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

Super simple on this card…for when you are running out of time to make your cards!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is -1/4 x 11 Poppy Parade cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Shaded Spruce is embossed with the Traditional Wreath Embossing Folder and added to the front of the base card.
  • The Ornamental Christmas ornament was cut from Basic White cardstock and stamped with the Ornamental Christmas greeting in Poppy Parade ink.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The top and bauble at the bottom of the ornament were cut from Gold Foil Paper and adhered.
  • Some Gold & White Baker’s Twine was tied in a bow and added to the ornament top.  An extra piece was tucked behind the ornament top and the top of the Shaded Spruce layer.
  • One of the holly diecut images from the Christmas Tags & More Designer Paper was tucked behind the top of the ornament.
  • Some red Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the holly and background.

IM410 – Ornamental Christmas

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pretty Christmas Tree decorated in black, gold and white!

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

I’m sure it will come to no surprise to anyone that knows me, that I’m one of those “people” who have a completely coordinated tree.  My colors are gold, teal and red ornaments with white lights!  I do have a more random second tree that is white with multicolored lights and my snowman ornaments I’ve been collecting for the 46 years we’ve been married!  The grandkids love to help me decorate that one!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1//4 x 11 Basic Black cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is embossed with the Jolly Holly Embossing Folder and added to the front.
  • Two round ornaments were cut from the Modern Christmas Designer Paper and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals overlapping each other.
  • The ornament tops and gold stars were cut from Gold Metallic Paper and added to the top of the ornaments and the background with Monoadhesive Glue.
  • Some Gold & White Baker’s Twine was tied in bows and added to the tops of the ornaments.
  • The Tis the Season greeting was stamped with Memento Black Ink and hand-cut around the letters, then added to the bottom ornament with Stampin’ Dimensionals.

CSF893 – Ornamental Christmas

It’s Thursday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends challenge!  It’s a fun sketch challenge this week!

 

ORNAMENTAL CHRISTMAS

I went with a square card since the layout looked more symmetrical to me!  I also used my Ornamental Christmas Bundle for the first time!  I love these bottle trees and made mine in some pretty non-traditional colors!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5 x 10 Summer Splash cardstock, scored at 5 and folded to form the base card.
  • A 3-1/2 x 5 piece of Regals Distressed Patterns Specialty DSP was colored with Summer Splash Ink using a Blending Brush and adhered across the center.
  • The bottle brush Ornamental Christmas trees were stamped with Pretty in Pink, Summer Splash and Peach Pie Inks on Basic White cardstock and cut with the Die.  They were added across the DSP with Stampin’ Dimensionals, overlapping slightly.
  • Some gold Black & White & Gold Baker’s Twine was wrapped in several loops and then adhered to the trees on the right.
  • The greeting from Ornamental Christmas was stamped with Memento Black Ink on 1/2 x 3-1/2 strip of Summer Splash cardstock and the ends cut at an angle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Summer Splash 2024-26 In Color Flat Pearls were added to the background.
