Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “All You Need is Love”!   Could be love at Christmas, Valentine’s Day, Wedding, Anniversary…so many ways to express love!

BRANCHING OUT

I really LOVE this Branching Out Stamp Bundle and sad to see it is on the Last Chance List.  I thought I could use it for a sweet LOVE card and really like how it turned out!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Real Red cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.  
  • Two 3/4 x 5-1/2 strips of Made with Love Designer Paper were added at the top and bottom.
  • The 3 x 5-1/2 piece of Basic White was stamped with the Branching Out branch in Early Espresso Ink and the “pine needles” in Real Red.  (I thought they looked like hearts!)
  • The Branching Out greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Flirty Flamingo cardstock and cut with the oval die in Snowy Delights Dies.  Love that shape!
  • Some Linen Thread was wrapped in a circle a few times then added to the front with a Mini Stampin’ Dimensional.  The greeting label was added on top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • A trio of Strawberry Slush & Pretty in Pink Gems were added to the background.

Our Creatively Simple theme this month is “Christmas Magic”!  Are you getting lots of ideas for your Christmas cards?

BRANCHING OUT

This Branching Out set is so versatile…more than just for Christmas!  I do think the pop of a red bow turned this into one though.

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is -1/4 x 11 Basic Beige cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Mossy Meadow cardstock was added on top.
  • The 1-1/2 x 4 strip of Autumn Toile DSP was added towards the bottom.
  • The label shape was cut with the Branching Out die from Basic Beige cardstock and the greeting stamped with Early Espresso Ink.  Some speckles were stamped and stamped off with Crumb Cake Ink.
  • The pine branches were cut from Mossy Meadow cardstock and then stems colored with the SU900 Stampin’ Blends.  They were adhered flat to the label.
  • Two pinecones were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Early Espresso Ink and were adhered to the branches.
  • A bow was made with the Real Red Shiny Ribbon and adhered with a Mini Glue Dot to the top of the branches.
  • Two Traditional Shimmer Sequins were added to the background.

IM406 – Patterned Tags

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges.  This week’s inspiration is a pine branch!

PATTERNED TAGS

Did you overlook these stand-alone tag dies?  While I was looking for pinecones, I saw my Patterned Tags Dies and the tag with the pine branches!  Yes, I can work with that!  It’s my first time using these dies…but they are SO pretty I had to buy them!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Crumb Cake cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Pecan Pie cardstock is embossed with the Peaceful Greenery Embossing Folder and adhered to the front.
  • The solid Patterned Tags was cut from Old Olive cardstock and the pine needle one from Garden Green cardstock.  They were adhered together with thin strips of Stampin’ Dimensionals and added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • The pop-out pine branches were adhered to the top of the tag.
  • The bow was cut with the Die from Poppy Parade Ink, adhered the loops together and added over the pine branches at the top.
  • Two acorns were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock with the Branching Out Dies and adhered under the bow.
  • The greeting from Branching Out stamp set was stamped with Memento Black Ink on Crumb Cake cardstock and cut with a 1-1/4″ Circle.  It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some gold Traditional Sparkling Sequins were added to the bow and the background.

Saturday Blog Hop – Favorite New Holiday Catalog Bundle

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop.  This week’s challenge is showing our Favorite New Mini Catalog Bundle!

BRANCHING OUT

I knew immediately what I wanted to do with this new Branching Out Stamp Set when I first saw it in the Sept-Dec Mini Catalog!  I set out to recreate a card that I made almost 12 years ago using Ornamental Pine!  Anyone remember that set?  Here’s the card I made for a swap so many years ago!

 

And here is the card I made updating it with Branching Out Bundle!  I don’t know which one I like better!!!

Stampin’ Details:

  • The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pretty Peacock cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
  • A 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic White cardstock is added on top.
  • A 1-1/2 x 4 piece of Elegant Pine Snowflakes DSP was added across the front towards the bottom.
  • The next to the largest label was cut from Basic White cardstock with the Branching Out Die.  In the upper right corner it was stamped with the pine stem in Early Espresso Ink and the needles with Garden Green Ink.
  • Then it brushed with Cloud Cover Ink halfway diagonally, then a smaller area was brushed with Lost Lagoon Ink, and finally the top edges brushed with Pretty Peacock Ink.  These were shaded light to dark.
  • The speckle stamp was stamped with White Craft Ink on top.
  • The greeting from Snowflake Kisses stamp set was added at the bottom with Memento Black Ink (I was surprised the Branching Out set didn’t have a Christmas/Winter type greeting in it!)
  • Two pinecones were cut from Pecan Pie cardstock and brushed with Early Espresso Ink, then touched with White Craft Ink.  They were added to the branch with Mini Stampin’ Dimensionals.  The label was added to the front towards the right side with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
  • Some Early Espresso Linen Thread was tied in a bow and added at the top of the pinecones.
  • A trio of Cajun Craze/Gold Dots were added to the background.
