CSF844 – Translucent Florals

It’s Thursday and you know that means it is time for a Create with Stamping Friends Thursday Challenge. Here’s a gorgeous fall color combo for you to use!

TRANSLUCENT FLORALS

I wanted to do some fall flowers using this color combination, so I started looking through my stash. I ended up combining two die sets…Translucent Florals and Changing Leaves…both online exclusives…to make this card! I had to go and verify that Translucent Florals was still available to purchase!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Copper Clay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Basic Beige was embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder and added to the front.
A 2 x 5-1/4 piece of Sweet Days of Autumn Designer Paper (Online Exclusive) was added to the left side.
The flower petals were cut from Copper Clay cardstock using the Translucent Florals Dies, then sponged along the edges and centers with Copper Clay Ink and adhered together. I made one large and two small flower clusters. The centers are Wild Wheat sponged with Copper Clay Ink.
The leaves were cut from Wild Wheat using the Translucent Florals Dies and sponged with Copper Clay Ink.
All the flowers and leaves were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The skeleton leaves and branches were cut from Early Espresso using the Changing Leaves Dies, then added tucked under the flowers on the front.
The greeting from Translucent Florals was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on a 3/4 x 2 piece of Basic Beige cardstock and the end cut at an angle. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Some rust Faux Glass Dots were added to the center of the flowers.

Isn’t that a pretty card for a fall birthday? I was so pleased with how it turned out! I wouldn’t normally think of flowers in these colors! OK, go check out what the rest of the Challenge Team did with this challenge over on Create with Stamping Friends.

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. We have a new theme for October…Happy Harvest! Just in time for fall and upcoming Thanksgiving ideas!

CHANGING LEAVES

This Changing Leaves bundles is SO great…no wonder it has been out of stock for a while! Everyone wants it! I made this simple card for a big class recently and thought it would be perfect to share as a Creatively Simple card on my blog, too! They could change out the greeting to what they wanted, but I have a LOT of fall birthdays!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Copper Clay cardstock, scored at 4-1/4 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Changing Leaves Hybrid Embossing Folder.
A 1-3/4 x 5-1/4 strip of Take to the Sky Designer Paper was added down the center.
The large leaf in Changing Leaves stamp set was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the Changing Leaves Die. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The double leaf was cut from Gold Foil Sheets and tucked under the larger leaf.
The greeting from Simply Said was stamped with Copper Clay Ink on Basic Beige cardstock and cut with the larger Changing Leaves label die.
Some gold Adhesive Backed Sparkle Gems were added in the background.

CSF Saturday Blog Hop – Pretty Fall Colors

It’s Saturday and time for our Create with Stamping Friends Blog Hop. Fall is all about changing colors of the leaves and Halloween…at least here in the Midwest of the United States! This week we are showing off Pretty Fall Colors on our cards!

CHANGING LEAVES

For this challenge, I did a fun fold that is nice and easy…especially when using the pretty Splendid Autumn 6×6 Designer Paper! And it folds up nicely to place in a regular A4 envelope!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 5-1/2 x 8-1/2 Old Olive cardstock, scored at 2-1/8 and 4-1/4 and folded.
Add 1-7/8 x 5-1/4 Splendid Autumn DSP to left side and 4 x 5-1/4 to inside panel.
Cut a 2-1/2 x 3 Basic White and score (with 3″ at the top) at 3/4, 1-1/2, and 2-1/4. Fold all score lines inward and adhere one side to Old Olive panel and one side to DSP as shown.

On 2-1/4 x 4, stamp the Changing Leaves leaf image with Copper Clay Ink in upper right and lower right corners. Add greeting with Memento Black Ink in center. Adhere to top of inside Basic White mechanism.
Add a 2 x 3-3/4 piece of Splendid Autumn DSP to a 2-1/4 x 4 piece of Copper Clay cardstock. Add the left side only to the front panel with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Stamp the Changing Leaves outside greeting with Memento Black Ink, cut with the Spotlight on Nature circle. Add to front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Cut open double leaf with Changing Leaves Dies from Copper Clay cardstock and small three-leaf Die from Old Olive cardstock. Adhere behind the circle on left side.
Add three Faux Glass Dots to background and circle.

Really, this is a SUPER simple card and once you do the mechanism the first time, you’ll crank them out in no time! IM350 – More Than Autumn

Welcome to our Create with Stamping Friends Inspiration Monday challenges. This week’s inspiration challenge is a warm mug of hot cocoa!

MORE THAN AUTUMN

I’ve been wanting to use the More Than Autumn Bundle with the A Little Latte Designer Paper, so here was my chance! I’ve combined it with the Changing Leaves stamp set, too, so I had some leaves to use.

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Calypso Coral cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and 6-3/4 and folded in half. The smaller panel was then adhered to itself to form the “book binding”.
A 1 x 4 piece of the plaid A Latte Love DSP was added to the spine and a 4 x 4 of brown swirls was added to the larger panel.
The Changing Leaves maple leaf was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Calypso Coral cardstock and another on Lemon Lolly cardstock. They were colored with Dark Pumpkin Pie, Light Poppy Parade and Dark Daffodil Delight Stampin’ Blends in a random pattern, so they looked mosaic. The leaves were cut with the Changing Leaves Dies and added to the bottom of the wider panel.
The mug was hand-cut from the A Little Latte DSP and added on top of the leaves.
Two branches were cut from Early Espresso cardstock and tucked around the mug and leaves.
The marshmallows from More Than Autumn were stamped with Pecan Pie Ink and cut with the More Than Autumn Die. The marshmallows were lightly colored with Light Crumb Cake Stampin’ Blends. They were added to the top of the mug.
Nothing’s Better Than was stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Petal Pink cardstock and cut with the larger label in the Changing Leaves Dies. It was added to the top with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
Autumn & Hot Cocoa were also stamped with Pecan Pie Ink on Petal Pink cardstock and hand-cut, then added to the front around the mug with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Copper and Brown Neutrals Adhesive Backed Sequins were added to the background.

CS158 – Inspirational Sketches

Welcome to Create with Stamping Friends Creatively Simple Challenge! Each month Debbie and I will pick a theme for our simple cards. Our September theme is “Feathered Friends”. So many great bird images in Stampin’ Up!’s lineup…this should be fun!

INSPIRATIONAL SKETCHES

For this card, I’ve combined an Annual Catalog set with a new Sept-Dec Mini set! I love these Changing Leaves images! This card came together really easily with minimal coloring!

Stampin’ Details:

The base is 4-1/4 x 11 Pecan Pie cardstock, scored at 5-1/2 and folded.
The 4 x 5-1/4 layer of Crumb Cake cardstock was embossed with the Leaf Fall Embossing Folding (Online Exclusive) and added to the front.
The bird from Inspirational Sketches stamp set was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock and colored with Wild Wheat and Cajun Craze Stampin’ Blends. It was hand-cut.
The first three-leaf image from Changing Leaves stamp set was inked with Pumpkin Pie Ink and stamped on Basic White cardstock. The second three-leaf image was inked with Wild Wheat and Pumpkin Pie added with a sponge dauber, then stamped on Basic White cardstock. They were cut with the Changing Leaves Dies.
The smaller leaf cluster was cut from Basic White cardstock, then sponged with Pumpkin Pie and Wild Wheat Inks and run thru the Changing Leaves Embossing Folder.
The skeleton leaves were cut from Pumpkin Pie cardstock. All were assembled on the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
The greeting was stamped with Early Espresso Ink on Basic White cardstock and cut with the large label in the Changing Leaves Dies. It was added to the front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
A trio of Faux Glass Dots were added to the background.
